About International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA

About International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA

International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA is a paediatric specialist clinic located at The Woodleigh Mall, serving families islandwide. The clinic has not yet been KakiList-verified, and no regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data — parents are strongly advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration before booking. The Google rating of 4.2 across 180 reviews provides a reasonably robust indication of patient experience, though it does not substitute for regulatory verification.

Families typically begin by contacting the clinic by phone or via the online enquiry form to describe the child's presenting concern — whether a developmental milestone query, a vaccination catch-up, a behavioural or learning concern, or an acute illness. A paediatric specialist consultation covers clinical assessment, relevant investigations where indicated (blood work, hearing screen, or imaging referral), and a management plan aligned with the child's age and condition. For developmental surveillance, the National Childhood Immunisation Programme schedule and developmental milestone tracking are central to the paediatrician's role. Where a Chronic Disease Management Programme-listed condition is identified, MediSave withdrawal under CDMP may apply. Parents should confirm the named doctor's SMC registration and specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine before attending.

Contact the clinic by phone or through its enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, the named paediatrician, consultation fees, and whether a pre-authorisation letter from your Integrated Shield Plan insurer is required for planned investigations.

The service is excellent at the paediatrician specialist - parkway medicentre woodleigh. All the nurses were very helpful and friendly. The waiting time was quite fast too even if there is a lot of patients. I would highly recommend this paediatric specialist.

We have been visiting this clinic since my eldest child was born, and the experience has always been excellent. The team is very responsive when it comes to scheduling appointments, and the staff are incredibly friendly and understanding towards parents who are naturally worried about their children. The clinic is also very efficient — medications are dispensed quickly so your child does not have to stay in the clinic longer than necessary. The doctors are wonderful as well. They take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure you fully understand the diagnosis and treatment before the consultation ends. Overall, we are very happy with the clinic, the doctors, nurses, and all the staff. Highly recommended!

Dr. Vella is an exceptional pediatric specialist. As parents, it can be very worrying when your child is unwell, but Dr. Vella was incredibly reassuring and thorough during the consultation. They listened carefully to our concerns, answered all our questions patiently, and made sure we fully understood the diagnosis and treatment plan. Most importantly, they were very gentle and kind with our child, which made a big difference. In addition, I would like to also praise the excellent service from the nurses. They are extremely helpful and friendly. We are very grateful for the care we received and would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Vella to other families.

PDs are attentive, warm, empathetic and efficient with their assessment of my child’s condition. Staff are the sweetest & most helpful 💕 Thivya, in particular, is always ready to provide support. I really love how we are taken care of every time I’m there, although a parent never wants to have to bring their child to a clinic. The clinic is so new, bright and clean too! Even if we ever have to wait in the queue, it’s a pleasant experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA charge?

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. On top of the consultation fee, common add-ons include vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine), blood panels (S$60–200), hearing or developmental screening, and prescription medication. GST applies on private medical services. By comparison, a polyclinic or GP referral to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) costs S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens after subsidy, though non-urgent waits of 4–12 weeks are typical. Any planned procedure or day surgery should come with a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that splits your Integrated Shield Plan payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly before you proceed. Is International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the current listing for IBCA. Every legitimate private clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — you can verify this on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the named doctor's full name to confirm active registration, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric specialists, a fellowship from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) or an Academy of Medicine Singapore fellowship (FAMS in Paediatric Medicine) is the meaningful specialist credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the MOH clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry directly with the clinic before attending — neither alone is sufficient, and the absence of confirmed licences in this listing makes independent verification especially important.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at International Baby Child & Adolescent Specialist Clinic IBCA?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, investigations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your IP insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the S$500/year general outpatient limit, or up to S$700/year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) if the child has a listed condition such as asthma, epilepsy, or a qualifying mental health condition. Childhood vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme may also attract MediSave claims under specific withdrawal rules. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic — a written pre-treatment estimate that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost is standard practice at reputable private clinics and protects you from bill surprises.
