We recently brought our son, Julian, to see Dr Oei, and the experience truly put our minds at ease. The most reassuring part was how she carefully walked us through the GP’s earlier diagnosis and treatment plan — something that really helped settle many of my wife's concerns. We also appreciated how she streamlined Julian’s medications, reducing them from five or six down to just two, without compromising on care. Her approach was thoughtful, practical, and never excessive. Dr Oei also introduced us to the importance of monitoring Julian’s SpO₂ levels, which gave us a clearer, more objective way to understand how he was doing day to day. And being able to rent the nebuliser directly from the clinic made things so much easier for us as parents. We’re grateful for her calm, measured guidance and for the sense of clarity she gave us during a stressful period. It made all the difference.

Dr Ong is a very professional, experienced and caring doctor. He is attentive to parents before giving his diagnosis. The staff are all well trained and patient in handling babies and children. Clinic is clean and brightly lit with ample seating area. Best to book an appointment before visiting the clinic as there is always a large volume of patients. Avoid visiting on a Monday as the clinic will be packed.

Grateful for the nurses and receptionists, especially the younger lady. Truly appreciated your help when I had to run to the loo and she stepped in to help me with my baby. 🙏🏼 really appreciate her going the extra mile. Doctor wise, could be because it’s closing time, so it felt rushed and one sided. But yet we also waited nearly 2 hours to see the doctor. Best to book appointment if you want to visit!

Thankful for the nurses/receptionists - they are always prompt with replies and very very helpful. They give good advice and always manage the place well though it may get crazy at times or most of the times. I think we don’t appreciate them enough but one of the reasons why my boys are still seeing the PDs here’s because of them. It’s always comforting to talk to them. But of course Dr Ooi’s very professional and her diagnosis’ always accurate, recommending effective treatments for my boys. She’s very patient, always taking her time to explain to us and to answer all our questions. We trust her and she has been our family doctor - for our kids all these while.

Our experience with the doctor, while my daughter was warded, was very negative. I found Dr Ong to be highly impatient; when sharing my daughter’s lab test results, he asked us to take a photo of the results and “to google it” to understand what the results meant. Additionally, my daughter’s treatment plan was not explained to us. Based on our negative experience, we decided to seek a second opinion, and we are very glad we did as my daughter is now recovering well under the care of her new doctor.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does International Child & Adolescent Clinic Dr Ong Eng Keow charge?

No specific fee schedule is publicly listed, but Singapore market norms for private paediatric specialists give a useful guide. A first specialist consultation typically runs S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. Investigations billed on top may include blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, X-rays (S$80–150), or ultrasound (S$150–400) depending on the presenting condition. For any planned procedure or day surgery, the clinic should provide a written financial counselling estimate that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before you commit. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) and for approved vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme. GST applies on private medical services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is International Child & Adolescent Clinic Dr Ong Eng Keow MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are listed in the clinic's public profile at this time. Every legitimate private clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — you can verify this on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric specialists, an MMED (Paediatrics) or fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS in Paediatrics) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient. Given that no licences are currently listed in this profile, parents are strongly encouraged to verify both directly with MOH and SMC before their first appointment.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at International Child & Adolescent Clinic Dr Ong Eng Keow?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life typically cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, confirm pre-authorisation and request a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the procedure to avoid claim disputes afterwards. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — which covers conditions including asthma, diabetes, and selected others — up to S$500 per year (or S$700 under CDMP). Selected childhood vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) are also MediSave-claimable. Separate limits apply for outpatient cancer treatment and dialysis. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic. Ask for an itemised pre-treatment estimate that clearly splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost in writing before paying any deposit. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill.
