It is worth clarifying whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, how closely the programme is aligned to the MOE Chinese Language syllabus, and whether online options are available alongside in-person sessions at the Bukit Timah Road centre. Most enrichment providers require a term commitment, so confirming the schedule, class frequency, and any trial class arrangement before signing up is advisable.
To take the next step, contact Jocelyn Chinese Enrichment directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current class availability for your child's level, enquire about a trial class, and confirm fees and term dates before committing.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Mr Jareth is an extremely patience and hardworking teacher, he is always very encouraging and supportive. He would also always check in on us if we are able to follow the lesson and even translate the words we do not understand to explain the meaning to us. Whenever we require additional help and additional marking, he would always take time out of his free time to mark and give us helpful feedbacks. His advice are also very helpful and useful. During my O levels June paper, I achieved a B3 and looked for his advice on whether I should retake the Chinese exam. He encouraged me to retake it and believed in my capabilities to do even better. I decided to retake the exam and scored an A1 for my second try. Without his guidance, I would not have retaken the exam as I had achieved a merit for my oral component which led me to think that I would not have as much chance to improve my grade on my second try. Hence I'm really grateful for his guidance and hardword which has helped me to achieve the grades I want
My child started taking online lessons at Jocelyn Chinese tuition centre a year ago. Teacher Joycelyn is patient and dedicated to help my child improve. Her lessons are engaging, making learning easier. We’ve seen clear progress in the language development of my child. In addition, the administration support of the center is great. Highly recommend Jocelyn Chinese Tuition to students who need help in Chinese!
The teachers at Jocelyn Chinese Tuition are very nurturing and the O level HCL lesson material is well-suited to complement the school syllabus! It focuses a lot on the different examination paper components like reading comprehension, different types of essay writing, oral exam etc, as well as general knowledge to help improve our Chinese literacy. 张老师's lessons in particular are engaging and she always provides extra materials such as news articles to help students with the 口试 and 作文 components.
I'm very grateful for 张老师's guidance and engaging lessons. She was extremely patient, encouraging, and it was a comfortable environment to share and ask questions. She keeps lessons fun with interesting anecdotes and stories, and bought us food occasionally. She is also super dedicated and holds extra 1 on 1 zooms to review our test papera, and sends us news articles daily 🥲 I definitely became more confident in speaking and the notes provided were comprehensive and useful.
Ms Teo Hwee Hong is a very encouraging teacher, going beyond to provide her students with extra news articles, practices and even 1 to 1 sessions outside of class to prep for the exams. Her many interesting stories and anecdotes make the lessons much more memorable and easy to understand. The center also provides additional practice papers every 2 weeks which help to reinforce learning.

Many Chinese enrichment and tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or at the standard per-session rate, before asking families to commit to a term. This is a practical way to assess whether the teaching style, pace, and level of the class suit your child. During a trial, observe whether your child is engaged, whether the content aligns with what they are currently studying in school, and whether the tutor is able to address your child's specific gaps — for example, oral expression, composition writing, or comprehension. Contact Jocelyn Chinese Enrichment directly to ask whether a trial class is available and how to arrange one.
Credential details for the tutors at Jocelyn Chinese Enrichment are not listed in publicly available information. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether the tutors hold a degree in Chinese Language, Education, or a related field, and whether any have a background with NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience. It is also helpful to confirm that the programme is aligned to the current MOE Chinese Language syllabus for the relevant level, as curriculum requirements and examination formats are updated periodically. If your child is preparing for PSLE, O-Level, or another specific examination, confirm that the tutor has direct experience preparing students for that paper.
