About Kids Dental World

About Kids Dental World

Kids Dental World is a paediatric dental practice located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, offering dental care for children on an islandwide basis. The clinic is KakiList-verified. It holds a 4.1/5 rating across 49 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal of patient experience. No regulatory licences are listed in the provider data, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, which limits the confidence of this listing.

A first visit to a paediatric dentist typically begins with a comprehensive oral examination, including an assessment of eruption sequence, bite development, and cavity risk. For younger or anxious children, the initial appointment focuses on familiarisation with the dental chair and instruments before any treatment proceeds. Subsequent visits may include scale and polish, fissure sealants, fluoride application, or restorative work depending on findings. Parents should bring any previous dental records and be prepared to discuss the child's oral hygiene routine, diet, and any concerns about teething or tooth alignment. For procedures, the clinic will advise on pain management options, which for paediatric dentistry may include local anaesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, or referral for general anaesthesia at the hospital for highly anxious or young patients.

To make an appointment, contact Kids Dental World directly by phone or through the enquiry form listed on their profile. Ask about consultation fees, available appointment slots, and whether a written treatment estimate will be provided before any procedure proceeds.

The only dental clinic that accept neonatal tooth. Went here to see Dr Ong for my 2 months old daughter's first molar. The receptionist was kind and patient. Took an effort to give us an update when will be our turn. They were patient when i asked some questions. Dr Ong also shared with me about neonatal tooth and plan on how to prevent decaying of tooth too. It was good knowledge and i appreciate that she shared with me! Definitely bringing back my other kids here! This clinic accept CDA (baby bonus).

Had a really smooth wisdom teeth extraction with Dr Nancy — both the surgery and healing process were easy and comfortable. She’s incredibly patient and caring, and even remembers little things you’ve told her, which makes every visit feel personal. I truly feel like my teeth are in the best hands. Highly recommend!

My 10yo daughter had to go through filling for a cavity tooth. It was the first time she had to go through such a procedure. I am so grateful to Dr. Ong and her assistant, for being so swift and assuring the whole time. They have a way with kids! Very experienced! She engaged the child, lightened the mood in the room with jokes and provided an explanation for every move she did. We were glad to have opted for the quick 5 mins usage of laughing gas (sedation), which calmed the child from the start. Best invention ever!! There is no side effect thereafter, just a little lightheaded. All is worth it! Her tooth looks so perfect now! Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Kids Dental World charge?

Paediatric dental consultation fees at private specialist clinics in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit. Common add-on costs include X-rays (S$30–80 per film or S$80–150 for a full-mouth series), scale and polish (S$80–180), fissure sealants (S$60–120 per tooth), fluoride application (S$40–80), and fillings (S$100–300 per tooth depending on material and complexity). Nitrous oxide sedation carries an additional fee (typical S$100–250 per session), and general anaesthesia procedures performed in the hospital theatre will attract significantly higher costs. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that itemises the expected treatment, fees, and how much — if any — can be claimed via insurance or MediSave. GST applies on private medical and dental services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is Kids Dental World MOH-licensed and how do I verify the dentist?

Every legitimate dental clinic premises in Singapore requires an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Individual dentists are registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC), not the Singapore Medical Council (SMC), and registration can be confirmed on the SDC public register at sdc.gov.sg. Paediatric dentistry specialists hold a Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) or equivalent postgraduate qualification and will appear on the SDC's specialist register under Paediatric Dentistry. No regulatory licences are currently listed in the provider data for Kids Dental World. Before booking, particularly for any procedure beyond a routine check-up, confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the treating dentist's SDC registration and specialist status directly with the clinic. Neither the licence nor the individual registration should be taken on trust. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Kids Dental World?

Routine dental consultations, fillings, and scale and polish are generally not claimable under MediSave. However, certain dental surgical procedures — including surgical extraction of impacted teeth, and dental treatment performed under general anaesthesia for medically compromised or young paediatric patients — may qualify for MediSave under specific withdrawal rules. Confirm eligibility with the clinic before the procedure. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life do not typically cover routine dental care, but some plans include dental riders or cover dental procedures performed under general anaesthesia in a hospital setting. Kids Dental World is located within Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, so hospital-based procedures may fall within the scope of IP coverage depending on your plan's terms. Contact your insurer to request pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee before committing to any hospital procedure, and ask the clinic for a written pre-treatment estimate that clearly separates the dentist's fee, hospital facility fee, and anaesthetist's fee to avoid a surprise bill.
