About Learning Point

About Learning Point

Learning Point is a tuition centre serving students across Singapore, operating from its centre at Thomson Plaza in Upper Thomson. It holds KakiList verification and is registered with ACRA. The centre carries a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on 98 reviews, a moderate sample that lends reasonable confidence to the score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the centre.

Parents and students typically begin by enquiring about the appropriate level and syllabus fit — whether that is the MOE primary or secondary curriculum, the IP track, or international syllabuses such as IGCSE. From there, it is worth asking whether group tuition or one-to-one sessions are available, as the format can significantly affect both pace and price. Most tuition centres offer a trial class so students can assess teaching style and class dynamics before committing to a full term. It is also worth clarifying whether lessons are conducted in person at the Thomson Plaza centre or whether any online options exist, as well as the centre's policy on make-up classes for absences.

To take the next step, reach out to Learning Point via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's level, confirm the fee structure, and arrange a trial class before signing up for a full term.

Before joining learning point, one of my initial struggles was answering comprehension questions accurately. Learning Point provides great tips and compre techniques which has helped give me a sense of direction whenever i come across compre! Through the programme, I have definitely seen improvement in terms of knowing how to answer the questions, as well as developing a stronger grasp of the fundamentals when it comes to continuous writing in a cohesive, structured manner. What makes LP so special is the learning environment! The lessons are engaging and enjoyable, and the ‘current buzz’ segment in every lesson really helped me broaden my general knowledge and strengthen content development. Continually, the class encourages students to write freely and develop their own individual voice! I also want to add that my teacher Mrs Lee Jo Ann was consistently supportive and encouraging not only academically, but also in checking in on students’ overall well-being, making learning fun and enjoyable at the same time. I think this holistic approach rlly makes LP meaningful and empowering.

My child has been with Teacher En Tong for the past year for P3 Math and we really appreciate her dedication in teaching, putting in extra time and effort to make sure the weaker students could follow up with the class. My child really enjoyed her classes. Would be better if the centre is more understanding and flexible with their terms and conditions though..

Both my children were taught by teacher En Tong, and they really enjoyed her lessons and showed clear improvement during the time with her. While my younger child did not do as well as expected, En Tong genuinely did her best and was very dedicated and supportive. The centre staff are helpful and approachable as well. I would be happy to enrol my youngest child with her again in the future and hope my last child will get the chance to learn under her one day.

Happy Teacher’s Day! As a parent, I just want to extend my deepest thanks for the care, dedication, and guidance the teachers have given to my child through the tuition sessions. The support has made a tremendous difference — not just in academics, but in my child’s overall confidence and attitude toward learning. We’ve seen the progress, the growing curiosity, and the renewed motivation, and we know that much of it is because of the teachers' patience, encouragement, and consistent effort. They’ve been more than just a tutor — they've been a mentor and a positive influence in our child’s life. Wishing you a well-deserved Happy Teacher’s Day, filled with the appreciation and respect you’ve so truly earned. Warm regards, Yang Dazhi

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Learning Point charge per session?

Learning Point lists its pricing at the mid-range ($$) tier, but specific per-session, monthly, or term fees are not publicly displayed and will need to be confirmed directly with the centre. Tuition centres in Singapore commonly charge by the month or term rather than per individual session, with rates varying by subject, level, and format — group classes are typically more affordable than one-to-one tuition. When enquiring, ask whether a trial class is offered and at what cost, whether materials or workbooks are charged separately, and if any sibling or package discounts apply. Some centres also charge a one-time registration fee. See the full tuition centre cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee or at the standard per-session rate — before a student commits to a monthly or term enrolment. It is worth asking Learning Point directly whether a trial is available for your child's subject and level. During a trial, look out for whether the pace and difficulty level are appropriate, how the tutor explains concepts, and how the student responds to the teaching style. A good fit in terms of engagement and level appropriateness matters more than convenience alone. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether the first session can serve as an assessment class so both parties can gauge suitability before a longer commitment is made.

What are the tutors' credentials at Learning Point?

Credential details for Learning Point's tutors are not publicly listed on this directory. When contacting the centre, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, whether any have an NIE teaching qualification or prior MOE teaching experience, and how long they have been teaching the specific syllabus your child is following. Syllabus alignment is particularly important — confirm whether the centre teaches to the current MOE primary or secondary curriculum, and if applicable, whether tutors are familiar with the IP, IGCSE, IB, or AP tracks. If credentials are a key factor in your decision, ask the centre directly and request to speak with or meet the assigned tutor before committing to a term.
