About Li Bai Sheng Catering

About Li Bai Sheng Catering

Li Bai Sheng Catering is an islandwide buffet and event catering provider based at 39 Scotts Rd, Singapore. The listing has been verified by KakiList, and the service carries a 4.4/5 rating across 424 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides meaningful confidence in service consistency. Pricing is structured on a per-pax basis, which is standard for buffet catering in Singapore.

When planning an event with Li Bai Sheng Catering, begin by confirming your headcount and event date, as most buffet caterers require a minimum of 30–50 guests and need adequate lead time for menu preparation and logistics. Discuss your dietary mix upfront — whether guests require halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, or other dietary accommodations — and ask for the relevant SFA and MUIS certifications in writing if halal is required. Enquire about what is included in the per-pax rate: delivery and setup, chafing dishes and warmers, buffet replenishment, and whether an on-site attendant is provided or billed separately. Confirm the delivery and setup window, teardown timing, and food-safety hold time for hot dishes, which should be served within approximately two to three hours of cooking.

To proceed, contact Li Bai Sheng Catering by phone or through the enquiry form, share your event date, venue address, estimated headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quotation with the full per-pax breakdown before paying any deposit.

All the food are outstanding, and I love the creativity behind the dishes. We have some mini surprises, such as for the boston lobster salad combination & the steamed grouper. Yam paste is not my favourite, because I often find it too sweet. However, I had it this time as it went very well with the bird's nest, which helps to tone down the sweetness. The restaurant also chose to use fresh ingredients, like fresh fish maw, instead of fried ones. Overall, it was such a delightful meal. Highly recommend to visit, if you haven't!

Some things never change but age like a fine wine. That's Li Bai for you. We took a break from them over the past 2 years amidst all the shiny new Chinese restaurants clamouring for our attention all across the island. But after our recent visit, we're definitely coming back. We were floored by the immaculately executed classics. The balance of flavours and textures in every dim sum dish was elegantly pulled off. From the seasoning to the delicate dumpling wrappings, execution was flawless and certainly not lost on us. For want of a better way to describe our lunch, we can only say that everything was delicious. This grand dame is not to be written off just yet. Sure, the decor is dated, far from trendy or brashly opulent, but therein lies its understated elegance, appreciated only by us, the select few :)

We had a delightful dim sum brunch at this restaurant on Sunday with three friends—it felt like a classic tai tai tea time! We ordered a variety of dim sum, including xiao long bao, prawn cakes, xiu mai, har gow, yam cake with scallops, cheong fun, and porridge, along with some delicious siu yok roasts. The standout dishes for us were the xiao long bao, which had perfectly thin yet sturdy skin that held up well to the flavorful broth, and the fried yam with scallops and mushroom sauce—absolutely delightful! Overall, the food was great, and we appreciated the complimentary parking in the hotel, which was a nice bonus. The service was prompt at first, but as the crowd grew and the restaurant filled up, it slowed down a bit. The ambience while dated but was nostalgic. One minor issue was that my tea cup was dirty when it arrived, and I had to ask for a replacement. Unfortunately, the request was met without acknowledgment or apology.

Had an amazing dinner at Li Bai! The ambience was elegant but comfortable, and the attention to detail — from the jade and silver décor to the fine china — really set the tone for a memorable evening. The dishes were authentic and full of flavour, exactly what you’d hope for from a top Cantonese restaurant. The staff were fantastic as well — super attentive and genuinely warm. Highly recommend Li Bai if you’re in the mood for a special Cantonese meal!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Li Bai Sheng Catering charge per pax?

Li Bai Sheng Catering prices on a per-pax basis, which is standard for buffet catering in Singapore. Market norms for reference: standard buffets typically run S$15–25 per pax with a minimum of around 30 pax, premium buffets S$25–40 per pax, mini-buffets for smaller groups S$18–30 per pax (minimum 8–15 pax), and live-station setups S$30–60 per pax. Contact Li Bai Sheng Catering directly for their current menu tiers and minimums. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm what is included versus billed separately: delivery and setup fee for non-central venues, chafing dish and warmer rental, buffet attendant on-site (typically S$80–150 per attendant), waste collection, and GST. Getting a fully itemised written quotation before paying any deposit is essential. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary options and halal certification does Li Bai Sheng Catering offer?

Before booking, confirm directly with Li Bai Sheng Catering which dietary accommodations they can provide — halal, vegetarian (lacto-ovo vs vegan), no-beef for Hindu guests, gluten-free, and nut-free are the most commonly requested in Singapore mixed-guest events. For halal specifically, ask to see their MUIS-issued certificate displaying the licence number and validity dates. A claim of 'halal-friendly' or 'no pork no lard' without MUIS certification is not the same as certified halal and will not meet the standard for guests who require strict compliance. Ask also about cross-contamination protocols when a single buffet serves both halal and non-halal items. Most caterers at this scale offer a menu tasting before final booking — request one, particularly if you are planning a wedding banquet or a large corporate event where guest dietary expectations are varied.

Is Li Bai Sheng Catering licensed and how is food safety handled?

Legitimate caterers operating in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D. Halal-certified operations also hold a MUIS certificate; both should be available on request or visible on the company's documentation. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Li Bai Sheng Catering on this directory, so ask the company to confirm their SFA licence and hygiene grade directly before booking. On food safety, hot dishes should be served within a roughly two-to-three hour cooked-to-served window, held above 60°C, and cold items kept below 5°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, replenishment schedule, and the protocol for safe handling of any leftovers. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
