Families interested in a place should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as popular centres can fill up well in advance, particularly for younger age groups. When you make contact via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, ask about the child-to-caregiver ratio for the playgroup class, the daily routine and curriculum approach, and the settling-in period available for younger children. It is also worth confirming whether ECDA subsidies are applicable — Singapore citizen children may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy and, where both parents are working, the Additional Subsidy as well.
The most practical next step is to reach out directly through WhatsApp or phone to ask about current availability for your preferred start month and to arrange a visit to the Anchorvale Road centre so you can meet the teachers in person before making a decision.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

I am at my utmost surprise that the school takes in feedback, work on it and implement immediately. My baby has been attending u icon since Jan this year when he was 3 months old. after he starts solids, I realise that the infant menu has not been changed for a while. Informed Yanzi Laoshi about my concerns in June and here I see the new menu in July ! This is part of the reasons why I choose this school over the others! They take your feedback seriously and react on it immediately! My baby loves going to school, he often ignores me after his teacher takes him over from my arm. Lots of activities too including baby spa, art and craft session, thematic plays etc. most importantly in infant care, what I am looking for are teachers with love(babies daily activities are well taken care of), child friendly environment and a supportive team. They sanitize the surrounding well (thanks to all teachers and cleaner aunty, my baby is so far so good there, no outbreaks fingers cross) put up new hand make toys once the curriculum changed (you can track from the photos uploaded in the APP, baby likes new toys), provide prompt feedback and updates from incharge teachers. These are all plus points that why I choose this school. Also I can feel that the team has a strong bond! Some of them stay far far away but still prefers to be in the team led by ms Elaine! Never regret choosing unicorn for my baby ❤️❤️
We’ve had a wonderful experience at the infant care group. The teachers are incredibly friendly and responsive to our requests, always ensuring open communication and a warm environment. Our daughter seems to truly enjoy her time there with weekly activities and swimspa —she’s always smiling and happy when we pick her up. It’s reassuring to know she’s in a caring and nurturing space where she can learn and grow. Highly recommend here to any parent looking for a supportive and joyful environment for their little one!
We’re so thankful for the caring and dedicated teachers at our child’s preschool. Their warmth and patience create such a positive, nurturing environment. The school is beautifully decorated—bright, clean, and full of cheerful touches that make it feel welcoming and safe. We couldn’t be happier!
Our daughter settled in quickly thanks to the caring teachers and friendly classmates. She's always excited to go in the morning and talks about her day all evening. We're really happy with the school.
I was impressed by the modern, fun decor of the childcare center. Wide corridors and spacious, open classrooms, with friendly teachers. My girl loves the place.

Little Unicorn Preschool is listed at the mid-range ($$) monthly fee tier. The exact monthly figure is not published in the listing, so contact the centre directly for the current rate for the playgroup programme. Beyond the monthly fee, most childcare centres in Singapore also charge a one-off registration fee and a deposit of around two months' fees, refundable on exit with adequate notice. There may also be small charges for uniforms and group personal accident insurance. Childcare and preschool fees are GST-exempt in Singapore, so no GST should be added to the quoted monthly rate. Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-licensed centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$300 per month for childcare and playgroup programmes. Working mothers who clock 56 hours or more of paid employment per month may also qualify for the Additional Working Mother Child Care Subsidy, which is income-tested and can bring the combined monthly subsidy up to S$710 or more depending on household income. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies at lower rates than citizens. The subsidy amounts and income bands are reviewed periodically, so check directly with ECDA at ecda.gov.sg for the most current figures before enrolling. Note that subsidy eligibility depends on the centre holding an ECDA licence. As no ECDA licence is listed in the provider data at this time, confirm the centre's licence status directly with Little Unicorn Preschool or via the ECDA online directory before relying on subsidies.
Demand for playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can be strong, particularly at centres with positive reviews. As a general guide, families are advised to enquire three to six months ahead of their intended start date — and earlier still if aiming for a January intake, which is the peak enrolment period for most preschools. To secure a place once offered, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Some centres maintain formal waitlists; others operate on a first-come, first-served basis once a slot opens. Contact Little Unicorn Preschool directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to check current availability for your preferred start month and to understand their specific registration process.
