About Mini Wok Catering

About Mini Wok Catering

Mini Wok Catering is an event caterer operating islandwide from its base at ABC Brickworks Food Centre in Bukit Merah. It has been verified by KakiList and holds a 4.2/5 rating across 37 Google reviews — a moderate sample that gives a reasonable indication of service quality. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range band, with a per-pax model typical of buffet and mini-buffet catering.

When planning your event, confirm the pax count and whether you need a standard buffet, mini-buffet, or bento delivery format, as each carries a different minimum headcount and per-pax rate. Discuss the dietary mix early — halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, and no-beef requirements affect both menu selection and preparation protocols. Ask whether a menu tasting is available before you commit to a deposit, and confirm what equipment is provided on the day: chafing dishes, warmers, serving tongs, and whether a buffet attendant will be on-site or self-service is expected. Clarify the delivery and setup window relative to your event start time, and agree the teardown timing and leftover-packaging arrangement in writing.

To get started, reach out to Mini Wok Catering with your event date, expected guest count, dietary requirements, and venue address so they can provide a per-pax quote and confirm minimum order eligibility.

Cheap and good. Ordered the fermented pork, spicy brinjal with minced meat + additional salted fish topping, hotplate tofu, sweet potato leaves with garlic and three plates of rice. The total came up to only $32.50.

4⭐️(can try if pass by), good quality zi char place, good for late hour. 4⭐️ sweet sour pork, the pork crust is quite crispy, maybe it is fried freshly, the seasoning is also good as sweet and sour. 3⭐️ garlic kai lan, average veggie, nothing special but not bad. 4⭐️ salted egg chicken rice, the chicken is not my favourite type with creamy liquid salted egg sauce, but it’s quite good in its own way. The chicken is like sweet and still has the good salted egg flavour. 2⭐️ fried potato leaves, it’s veggie but it tastes bad, I don’t like it, and will not order it again🤣 3⭐️ pork rib king, average taste and also not crispy 3.5⭐️ garlic Kang Kong, better than other veggies above, but still veggies tho 3⭐️ beef Hor fun, average taste, flavour is kind plain. 3.5⭐️ fried egg rice with chicken chop, the chicken chop is 4⭐️ that fried well and the texture is good. The fried egg rice is only 3 that tastes average. 4⭐️ tomato fried egg, solid dish and the flavour of tomato and egg are all have good flavour. 4⭐️ curry egg chicken rice, curry not similar to normal curry shop but do taste good. The egg and chicken tastes ok. Good value for 5.5$ 3.5⭐️ garlic lettuce, good option as veggies, but don’t expect veggies become very flavourful 3.5⭐️ deep fried chicken, tastes good at first, fried well, but bit oily at the end. 4.5⭐️ salted egg pumpkin, this one tastes quite good. The salted egg and sweet pumpkin mixed quite well. Not too oily even until the end of dishes. 3.5⭐️ shrimp sauce chicken wing, tastes ok but I do not like shrimp sauce flavour. 4⭐️ ginger onion beef rice, tastes good with good beef and running eggs. 4⭐️ san Lou Hor Fun, tastes good, the soup tastes fresh with the umami.

Manage by two young foreign couples. Their little is with them at the stall, eating her fried rice, doing school work and watching cartoon on the phone. The Seafood Hor Fun is good. Well flavoured and got a little wok hei. Ingredients are fresh. The Har Cheong Kai also good. Crispy on the outside and soft inside with not overpowering flavour. $4 + $8 is definitely affordable!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mini Wok Catering charge per pax?

Mini Wok Catering uses a per-pax pricing model in the mid-range band. For context, Singapore buffet catering typically runs S$15–25/pax for a standard spread with a minimum of around 30 pax, S$25–40/pax for premium buffets, and S$18–30/pax for mini-buffets with a minimum of 8–15 pax. Bento delivery generally sits at S$8–18/pax. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm whether delivery and setup to your venue is included or billed separately, whether chafing dishes and warmers are provided, and whether a buffet attendant on-site carries an additional charge (typically S$80–150 per attendant). Ask about the GST treatment and any waste-collection or teardown fee. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary options and halal certification does Mini Wok Catering offer?

Before booking, confirm Mini Wok Catering's halal status. A MUIS-issued halal certificate — displaying a licence number and validity dates — is the standard required for guests who observe strict halal. 'No pork no lard' or 'halal-friendly' labelling without a MUIS certificate does not meet that standard and should be clarified upfront. Also ask about vegetarian (lacto-ovo vs vegan), no-beef options for Hindu guests, and any nut-free or gluten-free provisions. For mixed dietary events, confirm the cross-contamination protocols between halal and non-halal dishes. Most caterers offer a menu tasting for orders above a minimum value — take advantage of this before paying any deposit.

Is Mini Wok Catering licensed and how is food safety handled?

Legitimate caterers hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D. KakiList's current data does not confirm which licence or hygiene grade Mini Wok Catering holds, so ask the caterer directly for this information before booking. Their base at ABC Brickworks Food Centre, a licensed NEA hawker centre, is a positive contextual signal, but a separate catering licence is required for off-site event delivery. Cooked food for buffets should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window for hot dishes, with hot-hold above 60°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, replenishment protocol during the event, and the policy for safe handling of leftovers. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
