About Mosaic Play Academy

About "Mosaic Play Academy"

Mosaic Play Academy is a playgroup provider operating in Singapore, listed on KakiList as a verified provider. It holds a 4.9-star rating across 33 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that offers a reasonable directional signal of parent satisfaction. Fees are priced at the mid-range level ($$) on a monthly recurring basis.

Families considering a playgroup place should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as popular sessions can fill quickly. When you contact Mosaic Play Academy — reachable by phone or via the enquiry form — ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of a typical daily routine, and the settling-in period approach so your child can transition comfortably. It is also worth confirming whether the programme is eligible for any ECDA subsidies applicable to Singapore citizen children, and what the registration and deposit requirements are before a place is confirmed. Do note that Mosaic Play Academy does not currently appear to hold an ECDA licence on the public register; parents should raise this directly with the centre and satisfy themselves on regulatory standing before enrolling.

To take the next step, reach out to Mosaic Play Academy at their Joo Chiat Place centre by phone or through the online enquiry form to check current availability and arrange a centre visit.

Absolutely the best experience for my toddler to start experiencing “school”. She started when she was almost 2 and a half years old. And the teachers there have been nothing short of warm and kind to all the little ones that attend. The teachers are what makes the classes exceptionally fun and interesting. I would have my second child join their classes when the time comes too. Thank you Mosaic Play Academy and the teachers for making it a brilliant experience for not just my toddler but also us as parents.

My daughter loves going to the mosaic play academy. She has been going 2 and now 3 times a week since she was around 16 months via the parent accompanied class. It’s something lovely we can do with her every week. She loves the teachers and being able to utilise the amazing space outside. Every week they do something different to keep it interesting. I will be sending her to the drop off classes when she is 2 and I have no concerns about her transitioning to this class easily. Highly recommend!

My daughter had a wonderful time at Mosaic Play Academy over the last 1.5 years. The teachers are incredibly thoughtful, loving and caring and my daughter always talks about them. She learnt so much during her time there and particularly enjoyed sensory activites, water play, PE and phonics. The campus is beautiful with a lovely outdoor play area used for many different activites. We are so happy we chose this as our first school and will miss it greatly.

My son went to Mosaic before he turned 18 months for preschool, it was a parent accompanied program and it was great. The program was well structured and they get to do so much in 1.5 hour. Before we returned to our home country, he spent 3 weeks at Mosaic again for the 2 hours drop off program, I was sent a lot of photo update and I can see he enjoyed the class so much. Thanks for everything Mosaic, I have recommended you guys to a lot of my friends!

After some bad experiences, Mosaic has been a breath of fresh air. The teachers are always warm and welcoming and are very transparent about syllabus and how our kids are learning. So happy to have found them!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Mosaic Play Academy" charge per month?

Mosaic Play Academy is priced at the mid-range ($$) level and operates on a monthly recurring fee model, which is standard for playgroup programmes in Singapore. When enquiring, ask for a full written breakdown that includes the monthly programme fee, any one-time registration fee, and the deposit required to secure a place — a deposit of one to two months' fees is common in the sector. Confirm whether items such as materials, uniforms, or insurance are bundled in or charged separately. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly figure should be your all-in cost for the programme itself. Eligibility for government subsidies will depend on your child's citizenship status and your household income — see the full childcare cost guide for Singapore for current figures and subsidy tiers.

What subsidies can I claim at "Mosaic Play Academy"?

Government childcare subsidies in Singapore are administered by ECDA and are available to eligible Singapore citizen children attending ECDA-licensed centres. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers employed for 56 hours or more per month may qualify for the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of that. An Additional Subsidy, income-tested and available to lower- and middle-income households, can bring total combined support up to S$710 per month. Singapore Permanent Resident children may be eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Importantly, Mosaic Play Academy does not currently appear to hold an ECDA licence on the public register, which affects subsidy eligibility. Parents should confirm the centre's licensing status directly with ECDA before assuming subsidies apply. Subsidy amounts and qualifying criteria change periodically — always check the ECDA website for the most current figures.

Is there a waitlist at "Mosaic Play Academy"?

Demand for quality playgroup and childcare places in Singapore means that popular programmes, particularly those with smaller class sizes, can fill several months in advance. As a general guide, families are advised to enquire three to six months ahead of their intended start date. January is the peak intake month across most programmes, so slots for that period tend to go earliest. To secure a place, providers typically require a registration fee and a deposit at the point of confirmation. Contact Mosaic Play Academy directly by phone or through the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your preferred start month. Given that specific waitlist information is not published, speaking to the centre early is the most reliable way to understand your position.
