About Mount Elizabeth Hospital Paediatrics
Mount Elizabeth Hospital Paediatrics is a private specialist paediatric service operating from 3 Mount Elizabeth, Singapore 228510, serving patients islandwide. The service holds a 3.6/5 rating across 552 Google reviews — a robust sample size, though the score sits below the 4.0 threshold for a strong trust signal. No regulatory licences are listed in the provider record, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; parents should independently verify the consulting paediatrician's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking.
Parents typically access private paediatric specialists either by walking in directly (first consultation typically S$120–250, self-pay) or by presenting a polyclinic or GP referral letter, which reduces costs at public hospital specialist outpatient clinics but carries a waiting period. A paediatric consultation at a private facility covers developmental milestone review, the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, acute illness assessment, and onward investigations such as blood panels, X-rays, or specialist referrals where indicated. Integrated Shield Plan (IP) cover applies to day surgery and inpatient admissions subject to deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules; outpatient consultations are typically self-pay unless a rider covers them. MediSave 500 outpatient and CDMP limits may apply to selected chronic paediatric conditions — confirm eligibility at the clinic before the appointment.
To proceed, contact Mount Elizabeth Hospital Paediatrics by phone or via the enquiry form to confirm the consulting paediatrician's name, SMC registration, and subspecialty, and to request a written financial counselling estimate for any planned procedure before paying any deposit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Mt Elizabeth is Great Again After the effort to renovate the hospital, this place seems to have given itself a new lease of life. It now has a beautiful lobby, business centre, and everything basically looks new again. The short stay I had here gave me a very good impression. Service from the nurses in the wards, to all other staff involved in my admission were polite, friendly and helpful. The magic is always in the people. The room was nicely renovated and had almost all the amenities one can think of. The food served was top notch and sufficient. The checkout service was fast and efficient. I didn’t even have to go to the business office to settle the bill there in person. And they make transport arrangements to send you to your home or hotel. Overall a very pleasant experience. Overall, I had
Came in for a day surgery. Feeling very well taken care of. Nurses, porter, radiographer, doctors, food and beverage etc were all very nice and caring. They assured me when they noticed i was very nervous and they came to check on me very regularly. I would choose to come back here (if i have to).
My wife had a good experience delivering our 1st newborn. All the nurses are quite experienced and extremely helpful. The highlight of the stay was the lactation consultants Thirl and Hazreen, who were such a great help. All the instructions and tips they gave were extremely useful and they answered all our questions with patience and with a smile. Extremely easy to connect and communicate.
Terrible hospital admin service leaves patients vulnerable. Payments front desk was lacking clear knowledge about payment methods. Their advice was very frustratingly unclear, especially when patients are undergoing medical procedures and under anaesthesia. 1. A random charge of $2000 was placed on my credit card without any clear explanation. 2. I asked to pay by insurance and provided my details. Mount E payments desk confirmed they would claim direct from the insurer and to return my credit card charge within a few days. 4 weeks later, this has still not been reversed. 3. 4 weeks later, the payments desk changes direction and now requires a letter of guarantee before a direct claim can be made. No evidence this is required by insurers was provided. 4. My family member who was only an emergency contact, is harassed by notifications to pay my medical bill even though his phone number was only listed as an emergency contact - he is not a guarantor. This is a breach of personal data privacy. 5. Hospital requests payment without providing any fully itemised invoice in sufficient detail for insurers and also fails to specify their requested method of payment.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Mount Elizabeth team that had took care of me; from my delivery till post-delivery stay at Ward 4B. The doctors and nurses demonstrated exceptional professionalism, compassion, and patience, always taking the time to explain and provide reassurance. The butler service staff were consistently polite, attentive, and prompt in assisting with food orders and delivery, ensuring comfort at all times. The cleaning staff also did an excellent job, maintaining a clean and pleasant environment with great care and courtesy. Overall, the team’s dedication, prompt assistance, and high standard of service made a meaningful difference and reflect the hospital’s commitment to excellence. I would like to extend my sincere commendation to Ms Thirin, Lactation Consultant, for her exceptional patience and dedication. She took the time to carefully teach my husband and me the essential toddler care skills and knowledge, ensuring we felt confident and well-prepared. Her clear guidance, calm approach, and willingness to answer our questions made the learning experience reassuring and valuable. We are truly grateful for her support and professionalism.

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-up, with GST applied on top at private facilities. Investigations are billed separately: blood panel S$60–200, X-ray S$80–150, ultrasound S$150–400. Common paediatric procedures such as minor surgery or sedation for investigations run S$3,000–15,000+ depending on scope and ward class. Alternatively, a polyclinic or GP referral to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic (SOC) reduces the consultation to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens after subsidy, though non-urgent waits of 4–12 weeks are typical. Any planned procedure should be quoted with a written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before you commit. No regulatory licences are listed in this provider record, which is a gap that warrants direct verification before booking. Every legitimate private clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For surgical or subspecialty paediatric work (cardiology, neurology, haematology-oncology), a Royal College or Academy of Medicine Singapore fellowship (FRCS or FAMS) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before your first appointment — neither alone is sufficient. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the admission date — disputing a claim after the fact is significantly harder. Outpatient consultations at private clinics are generally self-pay unless your IP rider explicitly covers specialist outpatient visits; confirm your rider terms before assuming coverage. MediSave can be used under the S$500/year outpatient limit for selected chronic conditions, and under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) up to S$700/year for listed conditions including asthma and selected developmental conditions. For paediatric day surgery, a written pre-treatment financial counselling estimate from the clinic — itemising insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions — is the single most important document to obtain before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill.
