When planning your event, begin by confirming the per-pax rate and minimum headcount for your format — whether a standard buffet, mini-buffet for smaller groups, or bento delivery. Discuss your dietary mix early: halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, and no-beef requirements should all be declared upfront so the menu and cross-contamination protocols can be confirmed in writing. Ask whether a menu tasting is available before you pay any deposit, and clarify the delivery and setup window relative to your event start time. Confirm what equipment is provided — chafing dishes, warmers, serving tongs — versus what must be arranged separately, and whether a buffet attendant is on-site or self-service only.
To get started, reach Mums Kitchen Catering by phone or via the enquiry form on the listing, provide your event date, venue, headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quote itemising the per-pax rate, minimum order, delivery fee, equipment, and balance payment schedule before committing.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
We catered bento boxes for a big group for 3 days. The customer service was incredible. Jeslyn very efficient and supportive, she paid much attention to detail and wanted to get everything just right. The delivery service was right on time with no trouble. The food was very good and portions were decent. A big thank you to the team, we would definitely use them for our next event.
Was a guest at an event and the buffet exceeded expectations. The curry chicken was fragrant and tasty, while the fish fillet with caper butter was tender and well balanced. Both stood out among the spread, and I would highly recommend this caterer based on these dishes!
Great food, christmas menu is very delicious. We had a good meal and will recommend to friends and colleagues
slightly expensive compared to other halal catering. the portion is also lesser. worst is that the food is cooked from frozen ingredients. the curry chicken drumstick is the worst. only served drumstick and no other meat parts, so it is obvious that the chicken are frozen type. the fried fish the same, frozen. the pineapple fried rice does not taste pineapple at all. It tastes like a bunch of colour powder used for colouring the rice, and the taste is powdery.
I always love their laksa! Whenever we think of a caterer in Singapore, they come to my mind because their food sure tastes delicious and delivery is on time. Unfortunately, we requested for the black trays but they didn't want to give anymore. Anyway, food quality and prompt delivery and the value for money which are more important when choosing a caterer and they met those criteria! Glad also they are able to accommodate our queries and order thru whatsapp!

Mums Kitchen Catering is priced at a mid-range level, consistent with Singapore buffet catering norms: standard buffets typically run S$15–25 per pax with a minimum of around 30 pax, premium spreads S$25–40 per pax, and mini-buffets for smaller groups S$18–30 per pax with a minimum of 8–15 pax. Bento delivery options generally sit at S$8–18 per pax. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm whether delivery and setup to your venue is included or charged separately — non-central and landed addresses often carry a surcharge. Ask whether chafing dishes, warmers, and a buffet attendant are bundled or billed on top (attendants typically run S$80–150 each). A deposit of roughly 30–50% is standard on signing, with the balance due closer to the event date. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →
Before booking, confirm directly with Mums Kitchen Catering whether they hold a MUIS halal certificate — no licence data is currently listed for this provider. A MUIS-issued certificate, displaying a licence number and validity dates, is the only recognised standard for guests who require certified halal food; 'no pork no lard' without MUIS certification does not meet that requirement. Also confirm availability of vegetarian (lacto-ovo or vegan), no-beef options for Hindu guests, and any gluten-free or allergen-specific needs. For mixed dietary events, ask about cross-contamination protocols between halal and non-halal dishes. Most caterers can accommodate a menu tasting for orders above a minimum value — request this before paying any deposit so you can verify quality and portion consistency firsthand.
Legitimate caterers operating in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, followed by B, C, and D. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Mums Kitchen Catering in available data, so you should ask directly for the SFA licence number and hygiene grade, and for the MUIS halal certificate if your event requires certified halal food. From a food-safety standpoint, hot dishes should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, kept above 60°C during the buffet. Confirm the setup arrival time relative to your event, the replenishment protocol if food runs low, and how leftovers are handled safely. Avoid any caterer unable to produce an SFA licence — food-safety incidents at unlicensed kitchens leave you without recourse. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence, book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
