About Nuffield Dental Paediatric Dentistry
Nuffield Dental Paediatric Dentistry is a paediatric dental clinic located at Wheelock Place on Orchard Road, serving patients islandwide. It holds a 4.9/5 rating across 947 Google reviews — a robust sample that consistently points to a positive patient experience. No regulatory licences are recorded in the listing at this time, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; parents are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting dentists' Singapore Dental Council registration directly before booking.
A first appointment typically begins with an initial consultation, during which the dentist takes a full dental and medical history, assesses developmental milestones in dentition, and performs a clinical examination. Diagnostic X-rays may be recommended depending on the child's age and presenting concerns. For anxious or younger children, behaviour-guidance techniques — ranging from tell-show-do and nitrous oxide sedation through to general anaesthesia at a partnering hospital — are commonly discussed and planned at this stage. Treatment plans are presented with a written financial estimate, including any Medisave-claimable procedures, before work proceeds. Follow-up intervals are calibrated to the child's caries risk, typically every six to twelve months.
To make an appointment, contact Nuffield Dental Paediatric Dentistry by phone or through the enquiry form on their website, specifying the child's age and the reason for the visit so the appropriate consultation slot and dentist can be arranged.
Verify the dentist's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I had an amazing dental experience at Nuffield Dental Jewel. I normally live overseas but needed a quick review as one of my front fillings fell out. I was able to get a same day appointment with Dr Sharon Ong. She is by far one of the best dentists I have ever seen. She is very thorough and she explains things clearly. She found another cavity that also needed doing. She is highly skilled with a gentle technique and a calming presence. The procedure was painless as she provided adequate local anaesthesia. The frontal filling was also expertly done even though it was in a tricky location. She also provided a lot of advice in terms of follow up care. I would be more than happy to see her again for another review and treatment the next time I am back in Singapore.
A Rare Find: Exceptional Holistic Dentist It was truly refreshing to discover Dr. Surinder Arora, a holistic dentist who is a rarity in her field in this region. I first connected with her at Nuffield Dental Jewel practice in Singapore via a phone consultation, and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and insights into holistic dentistry. Compelled to meet Dr. Arora in person, I recently had an appointment with her and found her to be an exceptionally caring and knowledgeable practitioner. Her communication skills were excellent—she delicately guided me through each step of my dental procedure that day. With a history of feeling very uneasy in the dental chair, I was surprisingly at ease and fully confident being in such highly experienced and caring hands. I highly recommend Dr. Arora for anyone seeking holistic dentistry. I am extremely grateful for her care and expertise.
Dr Sharon is amazing. I haven’t been to many dentists in my lifetime but I have visited a couple in different countries through the years, including in the UK, and I have to say that Dr Sharon is categorically the best I have had. She’s so warm and kind and patient, and she doesn’t treat any discomfort as too small. She takes her time while also being super efficient, and also just has such a calming presence and energy. I have been very pleased with the quality of service I’ve received from her and Nuffield and highly recommend her as the best of the best.
I recently had a professional teeth cleaning with Dr Serene Wu and it was outstanding. She was gentle yet thorough, removing all plaque and tartar without any painful experience. Also worth mentioning about Dr Serene is her transparency in pricing. Even during consultation, she would ask if I am OK to proceed, without insurance claim. I highly appreciate how fast she provides detailed treatment plan and costs upfront. It’s pleasant to discover such honesty and quality service in this Dental clinic. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a trustworthy and professional dentist services.
I had a truly fantastic experience at Nuffield Dental Clinic with Dr. Prashanth. The service was great overall. Dr. Prashanth is excellent—he doesn't complicate things much and provided clear, easy-to-understand information throughout my visit. It was refreshing to receive such straightforward and honest advice. A special mention must go to his assistant, Ramya, who was incredibly caring and made the entire process very easy and comfortable. Her compassion really helped put me at ease. The clinic also boasts a great ambience, which contributes to a very relaxing and positive environment. I highly recommend Dr. Prashanth and the team at Nuffield Dental. Hope to see you again for my next check-up!

Every legitimate dental clinic premises holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising dentist is registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) at dentalcouncil.gov.sg; specialist paediatric dentists hold an additional specialist accreditation in Paediatric Dentistry listed on the SDC specialist register. A Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) or an Academy of Medicine Singapore fellowship (FAMS) in Paediatric Dentistry is the meaningful advanced credential beyond basic SDC registration. No licences are recorded in this listing. Parents should search the SDC public register by the consulting dentist's name and confirm the clinic's MOH licence number directly with the clinic before booking — both steps take under five minutes and provide meaningful reassurance. Neither the clinic licence nor the dentist's registration alone is sufficient; confirm both.
Most routine outpatient dental visits — consultations, fillings, scaling, and fluoride treatments — are not MediSave-claimable. However, surgical dental procedures such as surgical extractions, certain orthodontic procedures, and dental treatment performed under general anaesthesia at an MOH-licensed hospital may qualify for MediSave withdrawal under the relevant limits; confirm eligibility with the clinic's billing team before the procedure. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life vary significantly in dental coverage — many plans cover only dental treatment arising from accidents, not elective or preventive care. Check your IP policy schedule and, where a planned procedure is involved, request pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before treatment to avoid claim disputes. For any procedure with a meaningful cost, ask for a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill.
