About Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic

About Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic

Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic is a paediatric clinic located at 583 Orchard Road, #02-08/09, Singapore 238884. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. The clinic holds a 4/5 rating across 39 Google reviews — a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licence details have been supplied to KakiList, so parents are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.

For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or via the enquiry form to describe the child's presenting concern — routine developmental checks, the National Childhood Immunisation Programme schedule, acute illness, or a specialist referral from a GP or polyclinic. At the consultation, the paediatrician assesses the child, orders investigations where needed (blood work, urine, X-ray), and sets out a treatment plan with follow-up timing. For planned procedures or admissions, request a written financial counselling estimate that sets out the insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before any payment is made. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations subject to deductible and co-insurance rules; MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for eligible chronic paediatric conditions.

To arrange an appointment, reach Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic by phone or through the enquiry form, and bring the child's health booklet, vaccination records, and your insurance card to the first visit.

My 6-month-old son suddenly had a high fever today noon. I checked PD clinics around me and olive tree was the nearest one. I went to the clinic at 2pm which was supposedly the opening hour of the clinic. We waited for around 20 minutes at the door front but it’s still closed. We were very upset and not sure when the clinic would open, so we left for another clinic for an urgent appointment. I even asked the concierge of forum if the clinic was open in the morning and they said yes. At 2:33pm, finally someone from this clinic called back but obviously we were gone. Next time if you want to have an extended lunch hour, sure, but do leave a notice on the door so we patients can arrange accordingly.

We have been going to Olive Tree since just after our daughter was born, and now for developmental check ups and illnesses. The doctors are wonderful, caring, practical and professional. The clinic team is helpful to set up appointments quickly and very caring for each patient when they arrive. I can’t recommend this clinic enough.

Dr Tan has been our go-to PD for the last 10years. During our first visit with her, she diagnosed our baby correctly and ran tests to confirm her diagnosis before prescribing medicines. Two other reputable PDs before her had brushed off symptoms over several visits and just pushed medications that were not effective. With our second child, she again prevented unnecessary interventions related to our new-born's jaundice and calmly guided us to set up blue light treatment at home avoiding the need for the nursing baby to be hospitalised and separated from mum. She has always gone beyond treating the child's illness - she is caring and genuinely interested in the child's growth and well being. Her care and concern has also been extended to me - she will always check in to find out how the parent/care taker is doing. She takes interest in the child and the family. She has been guiding us with recommendations and gentle advice and resources on breastfeeding, researching treatment options, recommendations for other specialists, parenting etc At the front office, Esther and the all the other assistants are also very professional, caring and considerate. Dr Tan's experience, her genuine concern for the child's well being and her compassion set her apart.

Dr Tan is good with her diagnosis and very thorough with her checks and explanation. Have been there since my toddler’s first month assessment, very impressed with her consultation and advice on everything to do, how, when, why, where for the baby. Though consultation is on the pricey side, but worth it! The reception ladies will do follow up checks on your child 2-3 days after our visits and will advise accordingly. Even if clinic is closed, their line is open and it directs to the doctor 👍🏼 To be honest, waiting time is short when you call to take a queue, but even if you walk in, they have never said no to see your child, really appreciate this!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic charge?

Private paediatric first consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. Parents attending via a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital outpatient clinic pay S$30–80 after subsidy, though waiting times for non-urgent appointments can be four to twelve weeks. Investigations billed on top of the consultation fee include blood panels (S$60–200), urine cultures, X-rays (S$80–150), and allergy or developmental assessments where indicated. Vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme administered at a private clinic are not subsidised to the same extent as at polyclinics, so confirm individual vaccine costs before the visit. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or admission, request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions. Is Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must be listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For a paediatric specialist, Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in Paediatric Medicine is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic has not supplied licence details to KakiList at the time of this listing. Parents should ask the clinic directly for the MOH Healthcare Services Licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration number, and verify both independently before booking. Confirm the named doctor who will conduct the consultation, as group practices sometimes allocate patients across multiple practitioners.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Olive Tree Baby & Kids Clinic?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient admissions, subject to each plan's deductible, co-insurance percentage, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the date to avoid disputes after the fact. MediSave can be drawn under the outpatient MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient chronic conditions, S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which covers selected paediatric chronic conditions including asthma. For routine acute consultations and vaccinations at a private clinic, payment is generally made at the point of service and submitted for insurance reimbursement later — confirm your plan's direct-billing arrangement with the clinic in advance. Request a financial counselling session before any planned admission or procedure so you receive an itemised written estimate. Skipping this step is the most common reason parents are surprised by their final bill.
