I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on June 2021 and was referred to Dr Leong as my oncologist. When I was first diagnosed, it was determined to be BRAF V600E mutation, which only occurs in 1-2% of lung cancer patients in the world. It was a tough time deciding on my next course of actions and I have also consulted another oncologist that told me I do not have much time left. But Dr Leong remained positive and reassured me that there are multiple steps to take before even giving up. Today, I am at my 46th chemotherapy session and still striving strong. I am a proud finisher of the 2024 2XU Half Marathon, and I will continue to fight my best fight. I’m glad to have Dr Leong and her team as my oncologist team.
