About OncoCare Cancer Centre

About OncoCare Cancer Centre

OncoCare Cancer Centre is a home nursing provider operating islandwide from its base at Gleneagles Medical Centre on Napier Road. KakiList has verified its operating details, and it holds ACRA registration. It carries a 4.6/5 rating across 24 Google reviews — a moderate sample that offers reasonable directional confidence. Pricing is presented at the mid-range tier on an hourly basis; contact the centre directly for a specific quote.

Families considering home nursing for a relative with a cancer diagnosis or oncology-related care needs should begin with a care assessment that maps the patient's mobility, medical dependencies, and daily living requirements. Because OncoCare operates within an oncology specialism, it is worth discussing whether the nursing support required is clinical (wound care, IV administration, catheter management, pain management) or personal care and companionship, as the scope will determine the skill level of the nurse assigned. Clarify whether care will be visit-based at fixed hours or extended daily cover, who in the family is the primary decision-maker for the care plan, and whether a trial period is available before committing to a longer arrangement. Confirm the hourly rate, any public holiday surcharges, and agency or coordination fees in writing.

To take the next step, call OncoCare Cancer Centre directly or submit an enquiry through the contact form on their listing to arrange a care assessment and receive a written quote tailored to your relative's nursing needs.

My sis was under the care of Dr Angela Pang when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She is a very caring and patient oncologist and give a lot encouragement to my sis since day 1. Today, my sis has been cleared from her cancer and Dr Pang continue to give her professional advise and care and she is still very caring towards my sis. Strongly recommend her professional service.

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on June 2021 and was referred to Dr Leong as my oncologist. When I was first diagnosed, it was determined to be BRAF V600E mutation, which only occurs in 1-2% of lung cancer patients in the world. It was a tough time deciding on my next course of actions and I have also consulted another oncologist that told me I do not have much time left. But Dr Leong remained positive and reassured me that there are multiple steps to take before even giving up. Today, I am at my 46th chemotherapy session and still striving strong. I am a proud finisher of the 2024 2XU Half Marathon, and I will continue to fight my best fight. I’m glad to have Dr Leong and her team as my oncologist team. They have been an excellent help in guiding me through my next steps during these 3 years and counting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does OncoCare Cancer Centre charge?

OncoCare Cancer Centre prices home nursing on an hourly basis and is positioned in the mid-range tier, though specific rates are not publicly listed — contact them directly for a quote based on the level of care required. For context, home nursing in Singapore typically runs S$20–60 or more per hour depending on the nurse's qualification (enrolled nurse vs registered nurse), the clinical complexity of the care, and the number of hours per day. Confirm in writing whether agency or coordination fees are charged on top of the hourly rate, whether public holiday and weekend surcharges apply, and what is included in each visit (clinical procedures, travel time, consumables). Live-in or visit-based — which does OncoCare Cancer Centre offer?

OncoCare Cancer Centre's listing indicates home nursing services, which are typically delivered on a visit basis — a qualified nurse attends at agreed hours rather than residing in the home. This model suits patients who need scheduled clinical care such as wound dressing, medication administration, or post-chemotherapy monitoring, alongside their existing household arrangements. Confirm with the centre how many hours per visit are standard, whether morning, afternoon, and evening slots are available, and whether extended daily cover can be arranged for higher-dependency patients. Ask about the replacement policy if the assigned nurse is unavailable, and whether a trial period of one to two weeks is possible before committing to an ongoing schedule.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

Given OncoCare Cancer Centre's oncology focus and its base within Gleneagles Medical Centre, the nursing staff are expected to have clinical qualifications relevant to cancer care, though no regulatory licences are currently listed on this KakiList profile — ask the centre directly to confirm whether nurses hold Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration as enrolled or registered nurses. For clinical home nursing, SNB registration is the key credential to verify; registered nurses carry a broader scope of practice than enrolled nurses. Confirm whether the centre or its deploying agency holds AIC or MOH registration for home care services. Ask about professional indemnity or liability insurance covering the nurse during home visits, and what the protocol is if a patient's condition deteriorates between scheduled visits.
