My child has been seeing Mr Tang Wei Kiat to support his regulation, sensory processing and executive functioning . On regulation, Wei Kiat shared an important concept ie . the circle of security which is a game changer. Through the practical application of this concept , as parents , it deepens our connections with our child. As such , our child feels safe and secure as he knows that we are with him and ready to support when he needs help. This has helped our child to have a calmer nervous system leading to better regulation and quick wins in learning achievements . On sensory processing , Wei Kiat is observant and has provided ideas and strategies to help with the sensory needs of our child . Through working with him , it allowed us to understand that OT is not about fixing the child’s issues but more to meet them at their current level and offer them the support when needed . This strategy motivates them to achieve more as they are aware that help is available when needed. Wei Kiat is very kind to offer to work with my child’s school educators to discuss on the basis of his issues and to allow for accommodations in school settings to improve the school learning experiences . The environment of the centre is nice and calm . It also helps that the centre is located in the midst of rich greenery and Mother Nature . The support from Ms Jieying has been wonderful .
