About Paediatric Allergy Immunology Rheumatology Service SWCMG
Paediatric Allergy Immunology Rheumatology Service SWCMG is a private specialist paediatric clinic located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, serving patients islandwide. The clinic has been verified by KakiList and holds a 4.8/5 rating across 26 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. No regulatory licences have been lodged with this listing, which parents should clarify directly with the clinic before booking.
This clinic focuses on three closely related paediatric subspecialties: allergy (food allergy, eczema, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, anaphylaxis), immunology (primary immunodeficiency, recurrent infections, immune dysregulation), and rheumatology (juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, autoinflammatory conditions). As a private specialist service, a first consultation typically runs S$120–250 without a referral letter; attending with a polyclinic or GP referral may facilitate subsequent MediSave and Integrated Shield Plan claims. Investigations such as allergy skin-prick testing, specific IgE panels, immunological blood work, and inflammatory markers are commonly billed on top of the consultation fee. Parents should request a written financial counselling estimate before committing to a workup or treatment plan, clearly splitting insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions.
To make an appointment, contact the clinic by phone or through the enquiry form on the listing, and bring any prior investigation results, referral letters, and the child's immunisation records to the first visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Liew has been taking care of both my children whenever they are sick or hospitalised. He is always so composed, patience in explaining to us in layman terms and caring. We are so glad we met him in this parenthood journey. He don’t just treat illness but also taught us parents how to manage at home in future. His staffs have been very helpful too. We can see they are pressured and trying to do their best.
Dr Liew is always composed whenever we have a concern about our baby. He listens and provides constructive advices which is super useful for first time parents like us. We put our full trust in him! Thank you Dr Liew, its great to have you as our baby's PD. The counter staff is also very patient and professional. They are always careful when attending to my baby.
Dr Liew is an exceptional and caring doctor who truly goes the extra mile for his patients. He was attentive, patient, and thorough in addressing my daughter’s condition. We are especially grateful for his prompt assistance in providing a medical memo when we needed it urgently. His professionalism and compassion left a very deep impression on us.
Highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Liew! One of our friends recommended him when we wanted to switch our paediatrician and it was really the best decision! He is extremely gentle with our baby, patient with all our questions (and we have many since we are first time parents!) and is clearly experienced and knowledgeable. The nurses and receptionists in the clinic are responsive and able to answer some of our queries - it is evident he has trained them well. Thank you Dr Liew and clinic!
Dr Liew was the paediatrician of my first child since birth at Mount E Novena, and we also kindly requested for him to be the PD during the birth of my second child. Dr Liew is a very patient and caring doctor who would always take the time to fully understand our concerns and the condition of my child. Consultations with him never felt rushed and he would always address any queries we have. Being worried parents when we see our kids fall ill, Dr Liew's calm and patient demeanour as well as clear action plans to tackle the condition puts our minds at ease after each visit and we are very appreciative of that. We would also like to express our gratitude towards Dr Liew who took time out of his working hours to speak with us urgently as we needed a second opinion when our son was warded at KKH when he was barely two months old - we are so thankful to have met such a caring and kind PD to our kids. Also, the care would not be possible without the support of the staffs at the clinic (Ann, Regina and Serene), who are always responsive and would help to schedule our appointments with Dr Liew. Would highly recommend Dr Liew for his meticulous care. :)

First specialist consultations at private paediatric clinics in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up reviews at S$80–180. These figures apply whether the presenting concern is allergy, immunology, or rheumatology. Investigations are billed separately and can add considerably to the visit cost: allergy skin-prick testing S$80–200, specific IgE blood panels S$150–400 depending on the number of allergens tested, full blood count and inflammatory markers S$60–150, and specialist imaging or joint ultrasound S$150–400 where indicated. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or extended diagnostic workup, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before agreeing to proceed. Every legitimate private specialist clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. No licence details have been lodged with this KakiList listing, so parents should ask the clinic directly for its MOH licence number and confirm it on the MOH directory before booking. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the consulting doctor's name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine (and any sub-specialty such as allergy or rheumatology), and disciplinary history. For sub-specialty work in paediatric allergy, immunology, and rheumatology, an FAMS (Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore) fellowship is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before the first appointment.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For planned procedures — such as allergen immunotherapy initiation, bronchoscopy, or joint injection under sedation — confirm pre-authorisation and obtain a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the procedure date to avoid post-facto claim disputes. MediSave can be used for outpatient specialist visits under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers selected conditions including asthma — a common co-morbidity in paediatric allergy patients — up to S$700 per year. The general outpatient MediSave withdrawal limit is S$500 per year for other listed conditions. Immunotherapy and some biologics may attract separate MediSave rules; confirm with the clinic's billing team. Request a formal financial counselling session before any multi-visit treatment plan so that insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions are set out in writing.
