About Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd

About Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd

Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd is a specialist cardiac clinic for children and infants, located at St Anne Mother & Child Centre within Mount Alvernia Hospital on Thomson Road. The clinic carries a 5/5 rating across 8 Google reviews — a very small sample that should be treated as directional only rather than a settled measure of performance. No regulatory licence information has been provided, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, so families should contact the clinic directly to verify the consulting specialist's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration and the clinic premises' MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking.

A first consultation typically begins with a referral from your child's GP or paediatrician, though self-pay direct appointments at private specialist clinics are generally available. Paediatric cardiologists assess congenital heart conditions, murmurs, arrhythmias, chest pain, and developmental cardiac concerns in newborns, infants, and older children. Investigations may include echocardiogram, ECG, and exercise stress testing, depending on the presenting concern. Families using an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm pre-authorisation with their insurer before attending, and MediSave may be applicable for selected outpatient consultations under the relevant withdrawal limits. Mount Alvernia's location is accessible via bus along Thomson Road.

To arrange an appointment, contact Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form, and bring your child's referral letter, vaccination records, and any prior investigation results to the first consultation.

Dr Wong is a very caring, experienced and professional doctor. He readily established rapport with my child, putting my child at ease easily. He handled my child well, and diagnosis was swift with clear and concise management/recommendation. Dr Wong also addressed my concerns and questions patiently with patience and genuine concern. Highly recommended, and thank you Dr Wong for taking care of my child!

Dr Wong is a very patient, caring and knowledgeable. He took the time to really explain the condition that our baby has and create a thorough plan for what was to come. His skills with the echo machine were able to accurately define our baby's rarer condition. Thank you for everything Dr Wong!

Dr Wong was recommended by my gynae Dr Joycelyn back when I found out about my daughter’s ARSA condition during the 20 week detailed scan. He helped us with the fetal heart scan as well as scans when my daughter was a newborn. Dr Wong is an extremely patient, understanding and caring doctor. He addressed our concerns with regards to our daughter Sage’s ARSA condition and during the 6 months old follow up scan, our daughter cried because she was scared and instead of continuing the scan, he paused to stop and tried to distract her from the discomfort. Instead of continuing to do the scan, he told us that we do not need to continue to scare her and we could always come back again one year later when she is more aware and confident of the surroundings. He assured us that her condition was nothing much to be worried about. When we wanted to make payment for the consultation, he told us that we would not need to pay because he did not manage to complete the scan. We are extremely touched by his genuine card and concern for our daughter and that he was more concerned about her crying too much from being afraid of the scan than to complete the scan. Thank you so much Dr Wong!

Dr Wong was recommended by my gp. I took my teen boy to see him to check on a rare condition. He assured me with confidence that my child doesn’t have it and with certainty, told me not to worry. He was confident with his conclusion and told me there was nothing to diagnose. I left the clinic feeling certain and relieved. Good doctor. Highly recommended

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd charge?

No specific pricing has been published for Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd. As a guideline, private specialist first consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. Paediatric cardiac investigations add further costs: an echocardiogram is commonly S$300–700, an ECG S$50–120, and a Holter monitor rental S$200–400. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that clearly splits what your Integrated Shield Plan covers, how much MediSave will offset, and your out-of-pocket portion before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by their final bill. Contact the clinic directly for a current fee schedule. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No licence information has been provided for this listing, so families must verify independently before booking. Every legitimate private specialist clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — searchable on the MOH licensee directory by clinic name or address. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine or Cardiology, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric cardiac specialists, a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS), or an equivalent body is the meaningful credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before the first visit — neither alone is sufficient, and neither can be assumed from a clinic name alone.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Paediatric Cardiology Pte Ltd?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, investigations, and any day surgery or inpatient admission, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Contact your IP insurer before the appointment to confirm pre-authorisation requirements and, for any planned procedure, request a Letter of Guarantee to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient consultations and S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for listed conditions. Paediatric cardiac conditions may also qualify for MediSave use under specific outpatient treatment guidelines. Ask the clinic for a financial counselling session that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing before any investigation or procedure is scheduled.
