PDPC promotes and enforces personal data protection to foster an environment of trust among businesses and consumers, contributing to a vibrant Singapore economy.
Most enquiries to PDTI Singapore involve Psychiatry. The operator works directly with homeowners, which means you deal with the same contact through quote, scheduling, and job completion rather than being handed off.
PDTI Singapore covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give PDTI Singapore an average of 1.8/5 across 11 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a healthcare provider.
For a realistic quote from PDTI Singapore, send a brief description of the work on WhatsApp — include your area, property type, and when you'd like the job done. Because KakiList doesn't sit between you and the provider, quotes tend to come back quickly and without boilerplate upselling.
PDPC appears efficient at processing paperwork, less so at delivering protection. The typical flow seems to be: acknowledge, ask the organisation, restate the law, close the file. That may be administratively neat, but it’s hard to see the enforcement or public value — especially given taxpayer funding.
Please be cautious about a new type of scam that I got today. At 5:20 pm, I received a scam call from a woman (Philipino accent) claiming to represent the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). She knew my full name and even quoted the real address and phone number of the PDPC to sound convincing. She alleged that I had breached personal data rules and warned that my mobile number would be terminated. She then insisted I go down to their office immediately. When I checked online, I saw the office closes at 6 pm, yet she claimed they would “extend” to 6:30 pm to wait for me. This was clearly an attempt to pressure me. I didn't asked her why she couldn’t send an official letter to my address or email as I chose not to continue the conversation. Instead, I told her I would call the official PDPC hotline tomorrow and ended the call. Reported to scamshield.
PDPC IS SO LOUSY AND INEFFECTIVE. CAROUSELL CANNOT BE TRUSTED. - I lodged a complaint against Carousell with PDPC. - During a dispute with a Carousell user, the latter suddenly has my full name and the paynow transfer screenshot. - The Carousell user himself has even admitted that it was Carousell that leaked this personal data to him. - Before I lodged the case with PDPC, I had already contacted Carousell to confront them on the leak of data. Needless to say, to protect their reputation Carousell denied doing so. - They come up with absurd baseless claim about financial institutions may display account holders’ names during transfers. They did not provide any proof to back up their claim. - However with the attached screenshots, anyone could tell that something is not right. - Hence I went to PDPC. - The joke part is that PDPC will still ask you to contact Carousell, even though when you lodged the case, you had already told them you had done so. - This already tells me that PDPC is pushing the case back to you and the organisation, and do not want to take ownership. - Moreover, they keep referring to your case as a ''feedback'" when it's clearly a complaint. - It was only when I pushed for it, then they contacted Carousell again. - However, PDPC believe Carousell's words and has the cheek to just forward Carousell's reply to you. - I directly asked PDPC, if they had investigated the chat records between the Carousell user and Carousell. - They refuse to answer my question, and said that they "will not be looking into your complaint further and we will not be responding to further correspondence on this matter". WITH SUCH A LOUSY PDPC SYSTEM IN PLACE, IT'S NO WONDER CAROUSELL CAN JUST SAY THEY DID NOT REVEAL A CONSUMER'S DATA. DESPITE ATTACHED PROOF PROVIDED THAT SUPPORTS AN ORGANISATION HAS LEAKED A CONSUMER'S DATA, PDPC DID NOT CONDUCT A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION. PDPC'S INVESTIGATIVE AND ENFORCEMENT POWERS ARE SO LOUSY AND INEFFECTIVE LIKE THAT.
Beware of potential scam calls from them claiming to be from PDPC. Two callers (Malaysian and Singaporean accents) alleged my father's number was compromised for job scams in Malaysia. They insisted on an urgent office visit, refused written communication or home visits. Suspicious behaviour, likely a scam. Reported to police for investigation. Stay vigilant and verify official communications through proper channels.
I received a call from this company saying that I have breached an act and that my number had been used for some scam cases in malaysia. I have not been visiting malaysia in many years. When asked for an official email about my case they refused to give and said they dont do emails. He asked me to head down to office so that he can clarify the case with me. When asked who do I look for when i am at office, he says to just find someone. What nonsense! Anyone receiving calls from this company please block and report.
