About Purple Sage Catering

About Purple Sage Catering

Purple Sage Catering is an islandwide event catering provider based at 159 Pandan Loop, Singapore. The listing has been verified by KakiList, and the service holds a strong rating of 4.8 out of 5 across 198 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent client feedback. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, so prospective clients should confirm SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence details directly with the company before booking.

When planning your catering order, start by confirming the per-pax rate alongside the minimum headcount — standard buffets in Singapore typically require 30 to 50 guests, while mini-buffets for smaller gatherings begin at around 8 to 15 pax. Clarify the menu format (buffet, mini-buffet, bento, or live station), the dietary mix required for your guest list (halal, no-pork-no-lard, vegetarian, vegan, no-beef, or gluten-free), and whether Purple Sage Catering holds a MUIS halal certificate if strict halal catering is needed. Confirm what is included in the quoted rate — delivery and setup, chafing dishes and warmers, and whether a buffet attendant is on-site — and what is billed separately. Ask about the menu tasting option before committing, and establish the deposit amount, balance schedule, and teardown timing before signing.

To take the next step, reach out to Purple Sage Catering via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form with your event date, venue, headcount, and dietary requirements — providing these details upfront will allow them to send you a menu proposal and per-pax quotation promptly.

Awesome buffet and great set up. We engaged Purple Sage for 2 days during Chinese New Year. Everything was just smooth sailing from questions about their buffet to the set up of the buffet was flawless. We were able to entertain our guests without having to worry about the food. The team was amazing. Christina was especially helpful answering my many questions. Our guests love the food and commented that it was very unique and tasted great. Thank you for making our Chinese New Year memorable.

Catered from Purple Sage for CNY and we were not disappointed! The set up was beautiful, the nicest I’ve ever had at a home function and the food was really good too with positive comments from many of our guests. Will definitely use them again! Special mention to Christina, who was extremely helpful throughout my booking and made the experience so much more pleasant.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation and compliments to the Purple Sage team for the exceptional service and outstanding food provided for our event. The overall experience was truly top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious, receiving many positive comments from our guests. From the very beginning, the professional advice and guidance from Sales Manager Andy were invaluable. Even before the event details were fully confirmed, Andy was proactive, attentive, and highly responsive to our requests, always reacting positively and translating our requirements into action. His commitment and dedication played a key role in ensuring the success of the event. Despite the challenges posed by heavy rain on the event day, the entire team remained professional, calm, and solution-oriented. The culinary team, led by Chef Peter, delivered excellent food quality and presentation, while the service team, led by Chen Zhou and Bobo, demonstrated efficiency, attentiveness, and teamwork throughout the event. Andy was also present on-site to ensure every detail was well executed, which gave us great confidence and peace of mind. Thanks to the collective efforts of the Purple Sage team, the event was executed seamlessly and became a truly memorable experience for all our overseas guests. We are confident that we made the right choice in engaging Purple Sage, and we would not hesitate to work with them again. We look forward to engaging Purple Sage for our future overseas events in Singapore. Once again, thank you to the entire Purple Sage team for an excellent and memorable experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Purple Sage Catering charge per pax?

Purple Sage Catering is priced in the mid-range band ($$), though exact per-pax figures are not published on this listing — contact them directly for a formal quotation. As a reference point, Singapore event catering typically runs: standard buffet S$15–25/pax (minimum ~30 pax), premium buffet S$25–40/pax, mini-buffet for smaller groups S$18–30/pax (minimum 8–15 pax), bento delivery S$8–18/pax, and live-station formats S$30–60/pax. When comparing quotes, confirm whether delivery and setup, equipment (chafing dishes, warmers, serving tongs), a buffet attendant on-site, and waste collection are included or billed separately. GST should also be clarified in writing. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary options and halal certification does Purple Sage Catering offer?

No regulatory licences, including a MUIS halal certificate, are listed on this profile. If your event requires strictly halal catering — for example, for Muslim guests who observe halal dietary requirements — confirm directly with Purple Sage Catering whether they hold a current MUIS certificate and whether it covers the kitchen or specific menu items. 'No pork no lard' without MUIS certification is not equivalent to certified halal. For other dietary requirements, ask about vegetarian (lacto-ovo versus vegan), no-beef options for Hindu guests, gluten-free, and nut-free dishes. Confirm cross-contamination protocols when serving a mixed-dietary guest list. Most caterers offer a menu tasting session for orders above a minimum value — request this before finalising your booking so you can assess portion size, flavour, and presentation firsthand.

Is Purple Sage Catering licensed and how is food safety handled?

No SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence is currently listed on this profile. Legitimate caterers hold one of these licences with an SFA hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D — and should be able to produce it on request. Ask Purple Sage Catering to share their licence number and hygiene grade before paying any deposit. For food safety at your event, hot dishes should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, held above 60°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, buffet replenishment protocol, and the policy for handling leftovers safely. For events above 20 pax, avoid operators who cannot provide a verifiable SFA licence — in the event of a food-safety incident, you would have limited recourse without it. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
