About Raffles Medical Group Children Centre

About Raffles Medical Group Children Centre

Raffles Medical Group Children Centre is a paediatric specialist clinic located at Raffles Specialist Centre in Bugis, serving families islandwide. It has been listed and contact details confirmed by KakiList. The clinic holds a 4.1 out of 5 rating across 81 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal on patient experience. No regulatory licence details have been provided in this listing, so families are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting paediatrician's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

A first visit to a private paediatric specialist typically begins with a consultation to assess developmental milestones, presenting symptoms, or a specific concern referred by a GP or polyclinic. The paediatrician will review the child's vaccination history against the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, conduct an age-appropriate physical examination, and order investigations such as blood panels, urine tests, or imaging where clinically indicated. For families using an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life, pre-authorisation from the insurer is recommended before any planned procedure or day-surgery admission. Outpatient MediSave withdrawals under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) may apply for selected chronic paediatric conditions.

To arrange an appointment, contact Raffles Medical Group Children Centre directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form. Ask for the named paediatrician's SMC registration and specialist accreditation, and request a written financial counselling estimate if any procedure or investigation is anticipated.

All my kids have been going to Raffles Children’s Centre for years for their immunisation, health and development check up. I’m always pleased with Dr. Veronica Toh every time she check them as she’s very friendly and even it’s a busy day she take her time and don’t rush explaining or listening to me, even the Nurse staff are all welcoming. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasant experience at Raffles Children’s Centre. The clinic is very clean and big with good ventilation. The staff show professionalism at their work and explained clearly on the prescriptions. Dr Toh & Dr Chu attended to my son in 2 separate occasions. Both of them are very nice, patient, attentive when I describe my son’s sickness. They gave clear instruction and prescribe the appropriate medicines for the treatment. Thank you.

We’ve been seeing Dr. Toh since our baby was two months old, and she has always been incredibly patient, gentle, and reassuring — both with our baby and with us as parents. When our little one recently caught a cold, the medicine she prescribed worked very well. What we truly appreciate is how caring and responsive she is — whenever we have questions, she takes the time to return our calls or reply to our emails, which gives us great peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have such a kind, experienced, and reliable paediatrician looking after our baby. We’ll definitely continue seeing her as our little one grows! With love and thanks from Mia Peng & family 💕

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Raffles Medical Group Children Centre charge?

A first private paediatric specialist consultation typically runs S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. On top of the consultation fee, common add-ons include vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose, not MediSave-claimable as outpatient for most childhood vaccines beyond the NIP schedule), blood panels (S$60–200), urine or swab tests, imaging, and prescription costs. GST applies on private medical services. Families arriving via a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) pay subsidised rates of S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, though non-urgent waiting times of 4–12 weeks are typical. Any planned procedure at a private facility should be quoted with a written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before payment is made. Is Raffles Medical Group Children Centre MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. No licence details have been provided in this listing, so families should request confirmation of the clinic's MOH licence number directly before booking. Every practising paediatrician must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg. Search by the named doctor's full name to confirm active registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For subspecialists (neonatology, paediatric cardiology, paediatric neurology), a Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic licence and the individual doctor's SMC entry before the first appointment.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Raffles Medical Group Children Centre?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays for children, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. Obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure — claim disputes after the fact are far more difficult to resolve. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit, or S$700 under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed chronic conditions such as asthma. Separate limits of S$200–600 apply for outpatient cancer treatment and dialysis. For most routine paediatric consultations, MediSave is not claimable and the visit is a cash or insurance-card transaction. For any planned admission or procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic to receive an itemised pre-treatment estimate that clearly separates insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost. Skipping this step is the most common cause of unexpected bills.
