About Royal Cuisine Catering
Royal Cuisine Catering is an islandwide event caterer based at 151 Chin Swee Road, Singapore. The listing has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration has been confirmed and no regulatory licences are currently on file. The Google rating of 3.3 across 280 reviews is a robust sample but sits below the 4.0 threshold typically associated with strong trust signals, and prospective clients should read recent reviews carefully before booking.
Enquiries can be made via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. When reaching out, share your pax count and confirm whether the minimum order threshold is met — standard buffets typically require 30 to 50 guests, while mini-buffets can serve smaller groups of 8 to 15. Discuss the event format (buffet, mini-buffet, bento, or live station), your dietary mix including halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, and no-beef requirements, and confirm whether MUIS halal certification applies at kitchen or menu level. Ask about menu tasting before signing, delivery and setup timing, whether equipment such as chafing dishes and warmers is included, whether a buffet attendant is on-site, and the deposit and balance payment schedule.
To move forward, contact Royal Cuisine Catering via WhatsApp or phone to confirm availability for your event date, obtain a written per-pax quotation with the full itemised breakdown, and request copies of the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence and any MUIS halal certificate before paying a deposit.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
Had the most horrible experience with their tingkat. I am on the 4th day of 10 days. Every meal has been a terrible experience. I either received missing dishes, missing speciality rice/noodles missing, or had dishes replaced with inferior food. Garlic shrimps became siew mai. Egg plant and potatoes became carrots. Tahu telor is 3 miserable pieces of egg tofu with zero egg in sight. Never again for me! Be warned! They refused to refund when I asked to cancel the remaining 6 days. Can't wait for it to be over! I now have to buy food for dinner on top of this tingkat. Absolutely ridiculous! An utter disappoinment, and a complete waste of my money! Updated 9 Oct: There were about 8 of 1 star reviews and no good reviews when I posted mine. Suddenly there were a flood of 4 to 5 stars reviews. Look carefully at the time and date of good reviews sent. They were all sent on the same day and around the same time! One even used my photo for her review! Another reviewer posted her food for dinner but the combination of food is not even on the recent menu! I am not sure when those photos were taken but their food is not delivered in transparent containers! I am not sure how authentic the good reviews are. If you really trust the good reviews, do remember to post yours after you have tried their food and service, especially if the food and service is not up to standard! This is the best you can do to inform others! This is my first ever google review and I had to do this to make sure others can make an informed choice! Updated on 13 Oct: Menu supposed to be: Pineapple Rice Prawns on sugarcane Chilli Thai Tofu Pork Trotters Seasonal Veg Only the trotters and veg were correct. Prawn on sugarcane became fish fingers Chilli Thai Tofu became 2 table spoons of egg Brown rice instead of pineapple rice (was looking forward to the rice!) Another night that I have to go hungry. So glad the package is ending soon! Look at their recent good reviews. All not local names! Those with local names have photos of containers that are not the same as the black ones used recently. You can make your own judgement! I am speechless! Updated 18 Oct: My 9th day. Cant wait for it to be over! Got a piece of white tofu in soy sauce. Pork is almost inedible with so much fats!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Spent $11.5 for 1 pax for international menu + specialty rice. It tastes like tabao from Cai fan stall + soup + rice with soy sauce. And the food is not international at all expect chicken chop that is western. First day, texted them to check if they are sending food. Customer service ensured that we will be getting our food with absolute confidence. At 1:30pm, text us back and say central kitchen stove broke down and van broke down so cannot send food. Come on your kitchen broke down 1:30pm only know? U cook your food what time? Ask about the menu why is it not international then they say they reserve the right to change menu in T&C, what the hell, if they just apologies we will feel better. I feel they mixed up our order with normal tingkat. One of the day, forgot to give us rice. Promise to compensate with dessert. When dessert comes that day, missing soups. I dunno how many mistake can they made in 10 days. Lastly most importantly, the food tastes awful, cai fan stall can do better than them. Worst tingkat experience I had!
What I signed up for: $10 for 2 pax, Home Cooked Meal for 10 Days What met expectation: Portion – Decent portion for 2 Delivery time – The 10 days went by without a hitch though delivery times varied from 4.45pm – 7pm. They did state the window of delivery so I find this acceptable. What did not meet expectation: Taste – In general, the taste of the food just did not meet expectation, and by the first day the two of us had already decided not to renew after our 10 days. Well, my expectation was that the food would taste like what I could get from the cai png store, but nope. Vegetables - The greens were almost always yellowish and in general not tasty (I am aware taste is subjective so you can be your own judge.) Other points to note: Soup - There was a drumstick in the soup during our first day, but afterward the soups that came were either plain (only liquid or whatever herb they cooked the soup with) or with small chunks of melons/ carrots. In general, also tasted very watered down. This is not really a red flag given the price we are paying, just stating facts so you can make a better decision for yourself. Fried Dish - Too many days (I would say 4 – 5 out of the 10) one of the dishes that came was a fried ngoh hiang-y/ fishcake-y / nugget-y thing that really required no cooking (just frying). I think I felt it more because it came every single day for our first few days hence this grouse. Other reviews – While eating on the first day (30 Sept 2021), in my dissatisfaction I went online to see what others had to say. There was only a smattering of other reviews with 1 or 2 stars but I noted that most of the issues raised were on missing delivery/ bad service recovery so I held back and decided to submit my review only after I completed the 10 days. While eating on day 9, I went back to have a look at the reviews and was shocked to see that many reviews were 5 stars. A closer look at the names of these other folks leaving stellar (& picture-less) reviews and linking to the demographic of customers that might order this service… I leave you to be your own judge. Menu – The combination of the food did not follow whatever was printed on their menu, I think they could have easily left a related clause in their fine print so I am not bothered. Suggestion to the team - Since food is really the heart of your business, hope your team can work on the taste and quality of your offerings. I am not sure if there are endless ‘new’ customers out there, but having good food would easily retain these ‘new’ customers and help to grow your customer base. To the regular folk, hope my very detailed (and authentic) review helped you, apologies for the long-windedness.
The portion for one is enough for a 10 year old, good if u want to lose weight. 7 broccoli fragments seen😆,.......m I cheered the tired dishes by putting in nice plates🤩 Some nights the portions were generous and themes better defined...
///DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM/// Tried the 20 days dinner package from them for 3 pax - 3 dishes + 1 soup. Had the most horrible experience with their tingkat. Got conned by the many 5 star reviews, what we received is totally different from website menu, False Advertising. Every meal has been a terrible experience, tasteless and worse than economic rice. Dishes just keep repeating with the different sauce. Same dish with many many names. e.g fried fish with sweet & sour, salted egg, creamy, black pepper. Every single day came with at least 1 fried dish that really required no cooking or tofu, just put the different sauce. For the first 10 days, 4days with fried ngoh hiang (wuxiang) , until i want to vomit and called to complain. The soup is purely MSG taste. Look at every meal you don't feel like eating. I can cook better than them. Normal economic rice from any hawker center will be more appetizing and a lot cheaper. If there was such thing as zero stars, I would do it. No early termination, no refund and there’s an auto-renew feature hidden to scam people.

Royal Cuisine Catering uses a per-pax pricing model, though specific figures are not published. Singapore market norms give a useful reference: standard buffets run S$15–25 per pax with a minimum of around 30 to 50 guests, premium buffets S$25–40 per pax, mini-buffets for smaller groups S$18–30 per pax (minimum 8–15 pax), bento delivery S$8–18 per pax, and live-station setups S$30–60 per pax. When requesting a quote, confirm what is included: delivery and setup fee for non-central locations, equipment rental (chafing dishes, warmers — sometimes bundled, sometimes billed separately), buffet attendant charges (typical S$80–150 per attendant), waste collection, and GST. No regulatory licences, including a MUIS halal certificate, are currently on file for Royal Cuisine Catering. Before booking, ask directly whether the kitchen holds a current MUIS halal certificate — "halal-friendly" or "no pork no lard" without MUIS certification is not the same as certified halal and will not meet the standard for guests who require strict halal compliance. Also confirm vegetarian options (lacto-ovo vs vegan), no-beef choices for Hindu guests, and any gluten-free or nut-free provisions. Ask about cross-contamination protocols if you are catering for a mixed dietary group. Most caterers of this scale offer a menu tasting for orders above a minimum value — request one before committing to the booking. If halal certification is essential for your event, verify the MUIS certificate number and validity dates before paying any deposit.
Legitimate caterers in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is the highest, followed by B, C, and D. No SFA licence is currently recorded on this listing. Ask Royal Cuisine Catering directly for their licence number and hygiene grade, and confirm whether a MUIS halal certificate is held if your event requires it. Both documents should be available on request. For food safety, hot dishes should be served within a 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, held above 60°C, and cold items held below 5°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time relative to your event start, the buffet replenishment protocol for longer events, and the policy for safe handling of leftovers. Given that no licences are currently confirmed and the Google rating of 3.3 across 280 reviews warrants careful scrutiny, review recent customer feedback and confirm the SFA licence and food safety credentials in writing before paying a deposit. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
