I had an absolutely positive experience with SACAC Counselling. Claudio is a great therapist and a genuinely kind & decent human being! His serene disposition made me feel incredibly comfortable to open up and talk about my situation freely and with complete honesty. The best part is that he is so unassuming and modest that he never took credit for my progress, and yet, he often came up with these golden nuggets of perspective and advice when I least expected it. Grazie mille, Claudio! The centre itself is modern yet tranquil, and the counselling rooms are comfortable without being distracting - A really conducive environment!

The therapists are great, not so much for the admin staff. For a counselling centre, they lack empathy, acumen and can’t even do basic things like make the people waiting feel comfortable. Just a bunch of admin people sitting around and occupying themselves with busywork.

Found the whole experience ineffective and impotent at even starting to chip away at any mentioned issue. Therapist promised to follow up with additional material post session via email but never got to it. He mentioned it again the following session that he would and never did. I decided not to pursue it further. If you can’t even trust the therapist to promptly provide additional reading resources to complement the in-person sessions, I’m not sure if there’s even a concerted effort to reinforce a new pattern of behaviour/thinking. During one of the sessions, I also received feedback that my grieving timeline is a lot longer than usual. Well, not sure how that’s helpful if I tried everything myself before asking for help. I didn’t come here to feel worse about things. Better off writing in a journal for free if not taking your time and money elsewhere! If all else fails, let time do its magic!
