About San Laksa Singapore
San Laksa Singapore is an event caterer based at 147 Kitchener Road, offering islandwide buffet and catering services across Singapore. The provider is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With 915 Google reviews at a rating of 4.5 out of 5, the sample size is robust and reflects a consistent track record across a wide range of events. Pricing is positioned at the mid-range tier ($$) on a per-pax basis, which is in line with Singapore's buffet catering market.
When planning your event, start by confirming the minimum headcount — most buffet caterers require 30 to 50 guests, while mini-buffet options for smaller gatherings typically start from 8 to 15 pax. San Laksa Singapore specialises in laksa and local cuisine catering, so enquire about the full menu spread, dietary mix your guests require (halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard), and whether a MUIS halal certificate covers the kitchen and menu. Confirm delivery and setup timing relative to your event start, whether chafing dishes and warmers are included in the per-pax rate, and whether a buffet attendant is available on-site. Ask about the 2 to 3 hour cooked-to-served window for hot dishes and what the teardown arrangement looks like after service.
To get started, reach San Laksa Singapore by phone or enquiry form to share your event date, venue, estimated headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quotation before paying any deposit.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
Days are Cold. Skies are Wet. We need hotpot & Laksa… Celebrating 老Boy’s birthday with hot pot and bbq buddy set at San Laksa. Special occasion that’s why video style different. We first tried this at the original store in Pasir Panjang (near Vivo city) just before our winter trip to Harbin and Manzhouli. After 11 years we are at the new location enjoying the same good taste and fresh ingredients. Superb service too. This restaurant was originally in Telok Blangah, and moved to Kitchener Road during COVID. Many of the longtime customers still aren’t aware of the new location. @doris.is.me on Instagram IG TikTok TT Lemon8
The laksa gravy is very tasty. Service is very fast and friendly. They often have various promotions. They need to provide a better ladle for cooking the noodles in the hot pot. Always a good place to socialize with friends.
Awesome laksa broth hotpot! Totally love their broth as well as their thick bee hoon which is very soft!! Definitely recommended a must try over here!
The Laksa broth is legit. Although the chicken soup got abit of the Chinese pepper taste. Service is prompt & polite. Recommended.

San Laksa Singapore prices catering on a per-pax basis at the mid-range ($$) tier. In Singapore's buffet catering market, standard buffets typically run S$15–25 per pax and premium spreads S$25–40 per pax, with a minimum headcount requirement (usually 30–50 pax for full buffets, or 8–15 pax for mini-buffet formats). Always confirm the exact per-pax rate, minimum order, and what is included — chafing dishes and warmers, delivery and setup, and whether a buffet attendant is provided or billed separately at roughly S$80–150 per attendant. Additional costs to clarify in writing: delivery surcharge for non-central venues, waste collection, and GST. See the full catering cost guide for Singapore →
As a laksa specialist, San Laksa Singapore's core menu is built around local Singaporean flavours. Before booking, confirm whether their kitchen holds a MUIS halal certificate — 'no pork no lard' without MUIS certification is not the same as certified halal and will not meet the standard for guests who require strict halal compliance. Ask for the certificate number and validity dates. Also confirm availability of vegetarian options, no-beef dishes for Hindu guests, and whether cross-contamination protocols are in place for mixed-dietary events. For events with a diverse guest list, request a menu tasting before committing — most caterers offer tastings for orders above a minimum value, and confirming portion size and consistency ahead of the event avoids surprises on the day.
Legitimate caterers operating in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, and D. San Laksa Singapore's licences are not listed in the current KakiList data, so you should request confirmation of their SFA licence number and hygiene grade directly before booking. Halal-certified operators also hold a MUIS certificate, which should be available on request. For food safety, hot dishes should be served within a 2 to 3 hour cooked-to-served window, maintained above 60°C in hot-hold equipment. Confirm setup arrival time, buffet replenishment protocol, and the policy for handling leftovers safely. Avoid relying solely on online listings — confirm the SFA licence and hygiene grade, put the per-pax rate, dietary mix, setup window, and balance payment schedule in writing, and book a tasting before paying the deposit.
