About SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep & Allergy Centre
SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep & Allergy Centre is a private specialist clinic located at Gleneagles Medical Centre on Napier Road, serving patients islandwide. The practice focuses on paediatric respiratory and allergy medicine, covering conditions such as asthma, recurrent wheezing, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food allergy, and sleep-disordered breathing in children. It holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating across 80 Google reviews, a moderate-to-robust sample that lends reasonable weight to the score, though no regulatory licences have been supplied to KakiList for verification and ACRA registration has not been confirmed.
A first appointment typically begins with the referral pathway decision: families may walk in directly as a private patient at the standard private specialist rate of S$120–250 for a first consultation, or present a polyclinic or GP referral letter to access a subsidised outpatient clinic at a public hospital if cost and wait time are priorities. At a private paediatric respiratory clinic, the first consultation will include a detailed history of symptom triggers, frequency, and severity; spirometry or peak-flow measurement for older children; and a structured allergy workup if indicated — skin-prick testing or specific IgE blood panels. For sleep concerns, a referral for overnight polysomnography may follow. Treatment plans typically combine pharmacological management, allergen-avoidance counselling, and a written asthma action plan aligned with the child's school. MediSave 500 or CDMP-linked withdrawals may apply depending on diagnosis and the specific outpatient claim structure; confirm with the clinic before the appointment.
To book an appointment, contact SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep & Allergy Centre directly by phone or via the enquiry form, and have your child's vaccination record, any existing specialist letters, and your Integrated Shield Plan details ready before confirming.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Saw Dr Alison for possible nut allergy and did a food challenge as well. Overall experience was great, the nurses go above and beyond e.g. they brought the skin prick kit to the ward so I did not have to bring my child down to the clinic. Dr Alison is great, very clear in explaining the situation as well as the approach we were going to take. Overall I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone whose child is facing allergy issues.
Been seeing Dr Alison for my daughter who has eczema and allergy - stumbled upon this clinic by chance. Dr Alison is very calm and motherly and she gives very good advice from the type of wash and cream to use and even up to the recipe for food to introduce to children who has allergies. The front desk staff / nurses are also nice and jovial. I always come in with an appointment and the wait time is roughly 30 minutes or even lessee but there was one time where we walked in but the wait was fine too - no complaints! Recommended my sister to see Dr Alison for her son and she also likes Dr Alison 🙏. Waiting time, medicine prescribed, advices from the doctor and the warmth from all the personnel in the clinic - TOP NOTCH 💯
Visited the clinic this afternoon. It is very clean and well managed clinic. The nurses are also very friendly and gentle. Dr Tang is very approachable, knowledgeable and patient to address each of our concerns. Dr Tang's consulting room decor is very cute and lovely and she has taken the effort to set it up in a way that her young patients will feel comfortable and engaged. Reception staff and nurses are all very detailed and patient with each and every single step along the way.

As a private specialist clinic at Gleneagles Medical Centre, SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep & Allergy Centre will typically charge S$120–250 for a first specialist consultation and S$80–180 for follow-up visits. These figures are Singapore market norms for private paediatric respiratory and allergy specialists; confirm the exact fee with the clinic before attending. Investigations billed on top of the consultation may include blood panels for specific IgE or full blood count (S$60–200), skin-prick allergy testing, spirometry, chest X-ray (S$80–150), and, for sleep concerns, a referral for polysomnography (S$800–2,000+ at a sleep laboratory). Prescriptions, nebuliser treatments administered in-clinic, and follow-up reviews are billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate itemising insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. No regulatory licences have been supplied to KakiList for this listing, so independent verification is essential before booking. Every legitimate private specialist clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — you can confirm this on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search the consulting specialist's name to confirm SMC registration, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine or Respiratory Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric respiratory and allergy specialists, a Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) or equivalent Royal College fellowship is the meaningful credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations and day procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer before any planned procedure, and request a Letter of Guarantee where applicable to avoid claim disputes after the fact. For outpatient visits, MediSave can be used under the MediSave 500 withdrawal limit (S$500 per year per account holder for general outpatient specialist use) or under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers selected chronic conditions including asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema — the CDMP limit is S$700 per year and unlocks chronic disease-specific claims at approved providers. Confirm whether SBCC Asthma Lung Sleep & Allergy Centre participates in CDMP before the appointment, as not all private clinics are enrolled. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a financial counselling session at the clinic — a written pre-treatment estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions is standard practice and avoids unexpected bills.
