About SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles
SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles is a paediatric clinic located at Gleneagles Medical Centre, 6 Napier Rd, serving families across Singapore. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4/5 rating across 64 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences are listed in this directory entry, and the clinic is not ACRA-registered in our records; parents are advised to confirm the MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting paediatrician's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly with the clinic before booking.
For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or through the enquiry form to book a consultation and confirm appointment availability, as private specialist paediatric clinics do not require a polyclinic referral — though a GP referral letter can assist with Integrated Shield Plan (IP) insurance pre-authorisation. At the consultation, the paediatrician will review the child's developmental history, growth measurements, and vaccination status against the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, and conduct an age-appropriate developmental milestones assessment. Investigations such as blood panels or urine tests can be arranged at the clinic or via the Gleneagles Medical Centre network. For planned procedures or follow-up care, parents should request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
To make an appointment, contact SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles directly by phone or via the online enquiry form, and bring the child's health booklet, vaccination records, and insurance or MediSave details to the first visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr. Alison is a very good pediatrician. She explains everything clearly, takes time to make sure her explanations are well understood, and has a friendly, reassuring approach. I really appreciate the quality of care she provides. However, the waiting time is extremely long, and no one informs you in advance. I had an appointment at 9:30am but only saw the doctor at 10:55am. This doesn’t feel like a true appointment system, and it makes planning very difficult, especially for parents with young children. It would be very helpful if the clinic staff could be upfront about expected waiting times when booking, so families can plan accordingly. The doctor is great, but the clinic’s time management and communication need improvement.
My 3 boys has been seeing Dr Alison for years. She has always been very patience, attentive and definitely a very understanding doctor and that speak for the long waiting time but its all worth the wait. I have to thank the extremely capable and helpful front desk staff who has been helping me with scheduling my boys appointment and getting my no 2 recent admission hazzle free even with shortage of manpower. Thank you for your help team! And i definitely highly recommend anyone to Dr Alison.
Went to the clinic for a follow up after giving birth. Dr Ratna was assigned to us by Gleneagle. The doctor did not give us any useful advice on our feeding issue, rashes and eye issue. Just mentioned that it will go away after awhile. The price of the consultation do not justify the service provided.
Booked a 10:30am appointment with Dr. Alison nearly 3 weeks in advance. 1 hour 15 minutes later, I am writing this review and yet to see her. Waiting time is completely ridiculous if scheduled appointments are not going to be honoured. Front desk receptionist certainly have their hands full, but rather than approach customers with comprehension, it is usually approached with aggression and “it is what it is” mentality. Rather than setting expectations at entry, customers are left feeling with lost time. Witnessed multiple individuals approach the front desk during this time - not just our family. Clinic is otherwise clean and there are toys for the kids to play with too. Dr. Alison is calm, well spoken, and competent and would definitely recommend her as a paediatrician if the rest of the operational processes can be resolved.
5 stars for Dr Ratna for her diagnosis. Unlike few previous doctors we’ve met Dr Ratna was the first one to deep dive into the issue and ask questions in regards to our child’s concerns and suggesting medicine accordingly . Would recommend Dr Ratna for your child’s concerns. However the front desk staff can improve their service.

Private paediatric specialist consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. On top of the consultation fee, additional charges may apply for investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine or stool tests, X-rays (S$80–150), or ultrasound (S$150–400), as well as prescribed medications and the administration of NIP or travel vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine). GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or recurring treatment, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that clearly breaks down the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before you commit. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. No licences are listed in this directory entry for SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles, so parents should confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named paediatrician's SMC registration directly with the clinic before booking. For paediatric specialists, a fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS in Paediatric Medicine) is the meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration — it is worth asking which paediatrician will be seen at the appointment and confirming their qualifications in advance.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life can cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned procedure, confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer and request a Letter of Guarantee before treatment to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient services under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient claims and S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers a defined list of chronic conditions including asthma. For child vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme, MediSave can be used to pay for nationally recommended vaccines at approved clinics. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session so you receive an itemised pre-treatment estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost in writing before proceeding — this is standard practice at private specialist clinics and should not be skipped.
