About SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles ALSA Paediatric Centre
SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles ALSA Paediatric Centre is a paediatric clinic located at Gleneagles Medical Centre, 6 Napier Road, serving families across Singapore. The clinic holds a 4.0/5 rating across 64 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. As a private specialist paediatric centre, first consultations are typically priced in the S$120–250 range, with follow-up visits at S$80–180; however, no specific fee schedule has been provided by the clinic and parents should confirm current rates directly.
Families typically engage a paediatric specialist either by walking in directly (self-pay, no referral required) or via a polyclinic or GP referral letter, which may support a subsidised pathway at public institutions. At a private specialist clinic such as this, the first visit usually covers a clinical assessment, developmental milestone review aligned with Singapore's National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, and any immediately indicated investigations such as a blood panel or swab. For planned procedures or investigations, the clinic should provide a written financial counselling estimate itemising insurance payout, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Parents should confirm whether the consulting paediatrician's SMC registration and specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine are current before booking.
To make an appointment, contact SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles ALSA Paediatric Centre by phone or through the enquiry form, and ask specifically about the consulting paediatrician's name and specialist accreditation so you can verify their entry on the Singapore Medical Council public register at smc.gov.sg before attending. Listing data is incomplete — contact SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Gleneagles ALSA Paediatric Centre directly to confirm details.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr. Alison is a very good pediatrician. She explains everything clearly, takes time to make sure her explanations are well understood, and has a friendly, reassuring approach. I really appreciate the quality of care she provides. However, the waiting time is extremely long, and no one informs you in advance. I had an appointment at 9:30am but only saw the doctor at 10:55am. This doesn’t feel like a true appointment system, and it makes planning very difficult, especially for parents with young children. It would be very helpful if the clinic staff could be upfront about expected waiting times when booking, so families can plan accordingly. The doctor is great, but the clinic’s time management and communication need improvement.
My 3 boys has been seeing Dr Alison for years. She has always been very patience, attentive and definitely a very understanding doctor and that speak for the long waiting time but its all worth the wait. I have to thank the extremely capable and helpful front desk staff who has been helping me with scheduling my boys appointment and getting my no 2 recent admission hazzle free even with shortage of manpower. Thank you for your help team! And i definitely highly recommend anyone to Dr Alison.
Went to the clinic for a follow up after giving birth. Dr Ratna was assigned to us by Gleneagle. The doctor did not give us any useful advice on our feeding issue, rashes and eye issue. Just mentioned that it will go away after awhile. The price of the consultation do not justify the service provided.
Booked a 10:30am appointment with Dr. Alison nearly 3 weeks in advance. 1 hour 15 minutes later, I am writing this review and yet to see her. Waiting time is completely ridiculous if scheduled appointments are not going to be honoured. Front desk receptionist certainly have their hands full, but rather than approach customers with comprehension, it is usually approached with aggression and “it is what it is” mentality. Rather than setting expectations at entry, customers are left feeling with lost time. Witnessed multiple individuals approach the front desk during this time - not just our family. Clinic is otherwise clean and there are toys for the kids to play with too. Dr. Alison is calm, well spoken, and competent and would definitely recommend her as a paediatrician if the rest of the operational processes can be resolved.
5 stars for Dr Ratna for her diagnosis. Unlike few previous doctors we’ve met Dr Ratna was the first one to deep dive into the issue and ask questions in regards to our child’s concerns and suggesting medicine accordingly . Would recommend Dr Ratna for your child’s concerns. However the front desk staff can improve their service.

Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. No licence information has been provided for this listing, so parents should confirm the clinic's MOH licence directly before booking. Every practising doctor must be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg. Search by the consulting paediatrician's name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric specialists, a Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in the relevant chapter is a meaningful additional credential beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before your first appointment — neither alone is sufficient.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient stays, subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For any planned admission or procedure, obtain pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the event to avoid post-treatment claim disputes. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient chronic conditions, or S$700 per year for conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP). Routine GP-type paediatric visits at a specialist clinic are generally not MediSave-claimable on an outpatient basis unless the condition is CDMP-listed, so confirm claimability with the clinic's billing team before assuming coverage. For any planned procedure, ask for a written financial counselling session that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. This is the most reliable way to avoid unexpected bills.
