The clinic holds a 4.3/5 rating across 318 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides meaningful signal on patient experience. For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or via the online form to check appointment availability and confirm which paediatrician will be consulting. Bring your child's health booklet, vaccination record, and referral letter if your GP or polyclinic has issued one — a referral is not mandatory for a direct private specialist visit but may support insurance pre-authorisation. The paediatrician will conduct a developmental assessment, review the National Childhood Immunisation Programme schedule, address any acute concerns such as fever, respiratory symptoms, or feeding difficulties, and order investigations — blood panel, urine dipstick, or chest X-ray — where clinically indicated. A written treatment plan and follow-up schedule will be discussed before you leave.
Contact SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Hougang by phone or via the enquiry form to check appointment slots and confirm the consulting doctor's name before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Highly recommend this clinic Dr Andrea, nurse Jane and the rest of the team. Our son did the 2yrs vaccine package and all his monthly check up making sure he meets his milestones and well.
I’ve been bringing my boy to this baby & child clinic since he was 3 months old for his vaccinations and when he is sick. My boy’s doctor is Dr Alison, she is very patient and always making me feel at ease when I’m worry too much about his development and all; since I am a first-time Mum. And when she is not around we will see Dr. Andrea which is very nice too and explain everything really well and detailed. The nurses / clinic staff also so friendly and caring, when I had to book the appointment last minute they tried to give me a slot. They also gave us a lot of milk samples and some goodies 😊 Definitely recommend this clinic! Tips: always book an appointment first as they usually very crowded - I don’t recommend to come for walk in because you can wait for 2 hours or more or don’t even get a slot, so if it’s really emergency it’s always better to bring your kids to KK straight away
Great service! Dr was was very friendly and professional. The visit was a very smooth and stress-free one . Nurse Jane was extremely friendly and extremely helpful in assisting us throughout. She made a our entire visit, a very pleasant one indeed :) Thank you Ms Jane
Visited Dr Andrea Yeo for baby diarrhoea. Doctor is very patient and detailed, asking for symptoms in detail to get a more accurate diagnosis. Waiting time for weekday was great but might need to call and check for weekend. Receptionist is very friendly and helpful too!
We took our baby to the clinic for vaccinations today, and both the doctor and nurse were very friendly and professional. They made the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. Highly recommend!

Private paediatric consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. On top of the consultation fee, expect additional charges for investigations — a blood panel runs S$60–200, urine dipstick S$10–30, chest X-ray S$80–150 — as well as vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine), prescriptions, and nebulisation if required. GST applies to private medical services. For any planned procedure or extended treatment course, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that splits the expected insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions. MediSave can be used under the S$500/year outpatient limit or S$700/year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for eligible conditions. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are currently listed for SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Hougang on this directory. Before booking, confirm two things independently: first, that the clinic premises hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg; second, that the consulting paediatrician is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which shows registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. Neither check alone is sufficient — a licensed clinic must have a registered doctor on the premises, and a registered doctor must practise from a licensed clinic. Confirm both before your child's appointment.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations and day procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider structure. For planned procedures, request pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes afterwards. MediSave can be used for outpatient paediatric consultations under the S$500/year withdrawal limit, or S$700/year if the condition falls under the Chronic Disease Management Programme. Childhood vaccinations on the National Childhood Immunisation Programme schedule are claimable under MediSave at approved clinics. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
