About SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena

SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena is a private paediatric clinic located at Royal Square Medical Centre on Irrawaddy Road, offering specialist child health services across all age groups from newborns through adolescents. The clinic holds a 4.3/5 rating across 76 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. No regulatory licences have been listed in this directory entry; families should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting paediatrician's SMC registration directly before booking.

Families typically begin with a first specialist consultation — either by walking in directly (private specialist fees typically S$120–250 for a first visit) or via a polyclinic or GP referral letter, which may support insurance pre-authorisation. At a paediatric clinic, consultations commonly cover the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) vaccination schedule, developmental milestone monitoring, acute illness (fever, respiratory, gastrointestinal), allergy and eczema assessment, and newborn follow-up. Investigations such as blood panels, urine cultures, or X-rays may be ordered at the same visit. Families with an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm pre-authorisation requirements with their insurer ahead of any planned procedure or day surgery.

To arrange an appointment, contact SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena by phone or through the enquiry form, and have your child's vaccination records and a referral letter ready if applicable.

Doctor Nancy is one of the best doctors I have ever met. So friendly, caring and personable. She took such good care of my little girl. It makes me feel great that we still have doctors like this taking care of our babies. The clinic assistants are friendly and sweet as well! This team really made a stressful experience a comfortable one.

Natalie Epton is the worst paediatrician I have ever met. My child was sick and I came to Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. They informed us that the paediatrician available at that time was Natalie Epton, and we were directed to go to her clinic. We had to walk from the hospital to her practice under the hot weather while carrying my sick infant, and we were sweating by the time we arrived. When we reached the clinic, we waited for a long time. When we finally spoke to Dr Natalie, she was very arrogant and stated that my child’s temperature and condition were fine without checking him first. She also said that she was busy because she had a conference with Bangkok. She is a well-known doctor, but she was very rude, made conclusions without examining the patient, and there was no need to mention being busy with a conference in Bangkok. Being a doctor is a noble profession that should show empathy to sick people. Natalie Epton is the most arrogant doctor I have met during my visits to Mount Elizabeth Novena, and this is very different from what is written about her on Google. In addition, I would like to give feedback to Dr Natalie Epton. Even if you are busy, as a doctor you should not tell parents of a sick child that you have a conference with Bangkok. Such a statement shows a lack of empathy and comes across as arrogant. Parents come because they are worried about their child and expect care, attention, and professionalism. Being busy should never make a patient or parent feel unimportant I will also be submitting formal feedback to Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital regarding the experience I went through. .

You will wait for a very long time to see the doctor even though you make appointment, 1-2hours at least! Nobody likes that! The clinic better control the consultant timing, how come a repeat visit can take 45mins? Is it really fair to other patients ?

Brought my 4 yo to SBCC novena as no other PD clinic is opened and we are flying off that night. The nurses are very nice and take in my registration. Beforehand, they did shared that wait is required as the clinic usually go on appointment basis. Dr Nancy is also very professional and treat my girl with care. She also ensure that she addresses my concerns (travelling) and the required medication. She also share what to look out for etc. Nurses are swift in medicine preparation and billing. In the end the wait wasn't as long as i expected and i am able to continue the travel plans with peace of mind. Thank you dr nancy and the nurses!

Is SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising paediatrician is registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and should appear on the public SMC register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. No licences are currently listed in this directory entry for SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena. Families should ask the clinic directly for its MOH licence number and confirm the consulting doctor's SMC registration and specialist accreditation before booking — neither the clinic licence nor the SMC entry alone is sufficient; both should be verified. Verify the doctor's name on the SMC register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at SBCC Baby & Child Clinic Mount Elizabeth Novena?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and request a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure to avoid post-treatment claim disputes. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient consultations under the S$500/year general withdrawal limit, or up to S$700/year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy in children where applicable. NIP vaccinations on the approved schedule also qualify for MediSave withdrawal. For any procedure, request a financial counselling session — most private clinics and hospitals will issue an itemised pre-treatment estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill.
