About SmileTutor
SmileTutor is a tuition centre operating islandwide across Singapore, listed on KakiList as a verified and ACRA-registered provider. It holds a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5 across 1,464 reviews, a robust sample that lends reasonable weight to the score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly rates are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
When enquiring, it is worth clarifying which academic level and syllabus you need covered — whether that is PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IP, IB, or IGCSE — so the team can match your child to an appropriate tutor or class group. Ask whether the format is small-group or one-to-one tuition, as this affects both the learning dynamic and the fee structure. It is also sensible to confirm whether sessions are conducted at the Bukit Batok centre or online, what the term commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before you sign up for a full term.
To get started, reach out to SmileTutor via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about level and subject availability, and request a trial class to assess teaching style and syllabus fit before making a term commitment.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Ms Sharon Tan is a wonderful science tutor. She is patient, clear in her explanations, and adapts her teaching to suit each child’s pace. My kids enjoy her lessons and have become more confident in science. We’ve seen steady improvement and are very happy with her support. Highly recommended.

An excellent Maths tutor for my Primary 6 daughter. She is patient, clear in her explanations, and knows exactly how to break down difficult concepts. My daughter has gained confidence and shows much better understanding in Maths. Highly recommended!
My kids have had 3 lessons with Mr Sun so far. He has always been punctual and never rushes thru his lessons with my kids. After every lesson he provides an update of what was covered and how the kids were doing. My kids so far enjoy his lessons and understand what is being taught. Would definitely recommend him. He is amazing!
This is the third tutor we’ve engaged from SmileTutor for my son.Outstanding service! Our first tutor was for English- Ms Izyan, the second for Secondary E-Math- Mr Jason, and the third for GCE O-Level Biology-Mr Hafiz. Each time, the tutors have been knowledgeable, patience and well-matched to my son’s learning needs. The lessons are affordable and the agency has done a great job in matching tutors who suit our expectations. The staff is very prompt in their reply too. We’re very happy with the service and will definitely continue using SmileTutor in the future!

SmileTutor has not published a specific per-session rate publicly, so you will need to enquire directly for a current fee schedule. As a general guide, tuition centres in Singapore typically charge between S$30 and S$80 per session for group classes, and S$60 to S$150 or more for one-to-one sessions, depending on the academic level and subject. Ask whether fees are structured per session, as a monthly package, or by term. Also check whether a trial class carries a separate (often reduced) fee, whether materials or workbooks are charged additionally, and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee, before you commit to a full term. It is worth asking SmileTutor directly whether this is available for your child's level and subject, and what the trial class fee is. A trial session gives you a practical way to assess whether the teaching pace and style suit your child, whether the class size feels appropriate, and whether the syllabus coverage aligns with what your child's school is currently working on. Pay attention to how engaged your child is during and after the session, as that is often the most reliable indicator of fit. If a formal trial class is not offered, ask whether your child can sit in on a session or receive a short assessment to determine the right class placement before signing up.
SmileTutor has not published detailed tutor credentials in its public listing, so it is advisable to ask directly when enquiring. Relevant questions include whether tutors hold NIE-trained or MOE teaching backgrounds, their degree subject and institution, and how many years of teaching or tutoring experience they have. For syllabus alignment, confirm whether the tutor is familiar with the specific examination board your child sits — MOE SEAB syllabi for PSLE, O-Level, and A-Level, or international curricula such as IB, IGCSE, or AP if applicable. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
