About SOG Clinic For Children Central Dr Irene Teo
SOG Clinic For Children Central, led by Dr Irene Teo, is a paediatric clinic located at Block 11A Boon Tiong Road in the Tiong Bahru area, serving families across Singapore. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4.1/5 rating across 59 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences are listed in the public data for this provider, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, so parents are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and Dr Teo's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.
Parents typically contact the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to arrange a first consultation. A paediatric visit covers developmental milestone checks aligned with the National Childhood Immunisation Programme schedule, acute illness assessment, and referral to a specialist or hospital where clinically indicated. For ongoing conditions, the doctor will outline a treatment plan, prescribe where appropriate, and schedule follow-up reviews at suitable intervals. Private specialist paediatric consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit, with investigations such as blood panels, urine tests, or X-rays billed separately. Parents with Integrated Shield Plans should confirm pre-authorisation requirements with their insurer, and may use MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for eligible conditions.
To arrange an appointment, contact SOG Clinic For Children Central directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. Before attending, verify Dr Irene Teo's registration on the Singapore Medical Council public register at smc.gov.sg and confirm the clinic holds a valid MOH Healthcare Services Licence.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
The staff were warm, patient, and incredibly organised. The reception team handled everything smoothly and we did not have to wait a very long time. Dr Irene Teo was thorough, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I also really appreciated how they only prescribed the necessary medicines to us. The clinic itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a very calm atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for professional, reliable, and compassionate medical care. I would definitely come back again.
It is not acceptable for a clinic to schedule appointments starting at 9am when the doctor only arrives after 10am. I understand doctors may have hospital commitments, but if that is the case, the clinic should schedule the first appointment at a realistic time instead of making patients wait for over an hour. Patients plan their day around these appointments, and wasting an hour of people’s time shows little respect for patients. Doctors in Singapore are already highly respected and privileged professionals, and basic punctuality should be expected.
Both my daughters, 18 months and 1 month old, have been seen by Dr Irene. Dr Irene takes time to listen to our concerns and thoroughly checks my daughters. Though the clinic is packed with walk-ins and appointments, the staff are quick to attend to all parents. The staff are friendly and follow up with appointments promptly. Definitely recommend Kids R Us clinic for newborns and older kids!
My son is with Dr Irene since he was small due to his allergic and OSA. Dr Irene take care of him patiently and sometimes waiting time will be a bit longer for walk in (which is understandable). Dr Irene never said no as she understands the urgency of some situations, she will take me even though her appointment is full. Other doctors will just reject me when their appointments are full. She will only prescribe antibiotics when required.
We had a good experience with Dr Irene. She has been incredibly patient, caring, and took the time to make our baby and us feel comfortable. It’s clear she’s highly trusted in the community—her popularity definitely shows in the longer waiting times :p

Private paediatric first consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. These are self-pay figures for direct private access; parents holding a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital outpatient specialist clinic may pay S$30–80 after subsidy, though non-urgent waits are typically 4–12 weeks. On top of the consultation fee, expect separate billing for investigations: blood panels S$60–200, urine tests S$30–80, X-rays S$80–150, and any prescribed medication. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. No regulatory licences are listed in the public data for this provider, so parents should verify two things independently before booking. First, confirm that the clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — searchable on the MOH licensee directory online. Second, confirm that Dr Irene Teo is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which shows registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. For paediatric specialisms, SMC specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine is the key credential beyond basic registration. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's SMC entry alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed before your child's first appointment.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations and day procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules — contact your insurer to confirm pre-authorisation requirements before the visit. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient claims under the S$500/year general outpatient limit, and up to S$700/year for conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which includes asthma and certain other paediatric chronic conditions. For vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme, MediSave withdrawal limits apply per child per year. For any planned procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill.
