About Soup Restaurant Catering

About Soup Restaurant Catering

Soup Restaurant Catering provides islandwide buffet and event catering from its base at Suntec City. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 794 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent client experience across a wide range of events. Pricing follows a per-pax model in the mid-range band ($$), which is broadly in line with Singapore market norms for buffet catering.

Enquiries typically begin with a headcount and event date, followed by menu selection across their buffet and set-meal offerings. Before confirming a booking, clarify the minimum pax requirement, dietary mix for your guest list (halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, no-beef), whether MUIS halal certification applies to the specific menu selected, and what equipment is provided — chafing dishes, warmers, serving tongs, and whether a buffet attendant is included or billed separately. Confirm the delivery and setup window, teardown timing, the cooked-to-served food-safety hold period, and the deposit and balance payment schedule. A menu tasting before committing is worth requesting for larger orders.

To get started, contact Soup Restaurant Catering by phone or through the enquiry form with your event date, venue, estimated headcount, and any dietary requirements, and ask for a written quotation that itemises the per-pax rate, minimum order, setup and delivery fees, and attendant charges.

Our family enjoyed our reunion lunch at Soup Restaurant@Suntec City. The food was awesome and we specially love their samsui chicken with ginger sauce. All the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive despite it’s a super peak day. The service was outstanding, and I will most certainly be back again!

Ordered a takeaway Yu Sheng from this soup restaurant at Suntec City and it was a wonderful experience. The Yu Sheng was incredibly fresh, with crisp vegetables, vibrant colours, and generous toppings that came together beautifully. Every bite was well-balanced and flavourful, making it a truly enjoyable festive treat. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, ensuring the takeaway process was smooth and pleasant. Great quality food and warm service, definitely a place I would return to again.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Soup Restaurant this evening, with staff members Wing and Jiayi who were very attentive and humourous. Their warm and quick service is commendable, especially given how busy it was tonight, and reinforces why we like to eat at Soup Restaurant. Hope the management recognises them, thanks.

I have eaten here with my friend a few times. Both of us really like the minced pork patty wirh rice. However, it was really disappointing the meat patty has become so thin. Bought the preserved veggies with pork for my mom, hope it would be good or I would not hear the end of it. Service is always good here. Nice ambiance too!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Soup Restaurant Catering charge per pax?

Soup Restaurant Catering uses a per-pax pricing model in the mid-range ($$) band. For context, Singapore buffet catering typically runs S$15–25/pax for standard spreads and S$25–40/pax for premium or live-station setups, with a minimum headcount of around 30–50 pax for most buffet orders and 8–15 pax for mini-buffet formats. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm what is included: delivery and setup fee (which may vary for non-central venues), equipment such as chafing dishes and warmers (sometimes bundled, sometimes billed separately), any buffet attendant on-site (typically S$80–150 per attendant), and waste collection. GST and service charges should also be clarified in writing. A deposit is standard on booking, with the balance typically due closer to the event date. What dietary options and halal certification does Soup Restaurant Catering offer?

Before booking, confirm which menus are covered by a MUIS halal certificate — the certificate should display a licence number and validity dates. 'No pork no lard' or 'halal-friendly' menus without MUIS certification do not meet the standard for guests who require strictly certified halal food. Also check availability of vegetarian options (lacto-ovo or vegan), no-beef dishes for Hindu guests, and any allergen considerations for mixed dietary events. For events with a diverse guest list, ask about cross-contamination protocols and whether dietary-specific dishes are prepared and served separately. Most caterers at this scale can accommodate a tasting session for orders above a minimum value — worth requesting before finalising the menu. Confirm the full dietary mix in writing alongside the booking contract.

Is Soup Restaurant Catering licensed and how is food safety handled?

Legitimate caterers in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Soup Restaurant Catering on this listing; confirm the SFA licence number and hygiene grade directly with the provider before booking, and ask for the MUIS halal certificate where applicable. From a food-safety standpoint, hot dishes should be held above 60°C and served within a roughly 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time, hot-hold equipment provision, buffet replenishment protocol for longer events, and the policy on safe handling of leftovers. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
