About Specialist Dental Group
Specialist Dental Group is a dental specialist practice located at 3 Mount Elizabeth, Singapore 228510, offering paediatric dental services. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.8/5 rating across 268 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides meaningful signal on patient experience. No regulatory licence information has been supplied to KakiList at this time, and no ACRA registration has been confirmed; prospective patients should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the treating dentist's Singapore Dental Council (SDC) registration independently before booking.
For a first visit, parents typically contact the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to describe the child's presenting concern — whether a routine check-up, dental pain, decay, developmental alignment concern, or anxiety management. Paediatric dental specialists are trained beyond general dentistry to manage child behaviour, growth and development of the primary and permanent dentition, sedation options for anxious children, and referral pathways for more complex orthodontic or oral-surgical needs. Fees for private specialist dental consultations sit in the S$120–250 range for a first visit; investigations such as dental X-rays and treatment costs are billed separately. Integrated Shield Plan coverage for dental procedures is limited — most IP policies exclude routine dental, though hospital-admission dental surgery (e.g. GA extractions) may be claimable. MediSave generally does not cover outpatient dental consultations.
To take the next step, contact Specialist Dental Group directly via WhatsApp or phone to confirm current appointment availability, the name and SDC registration of the treating specialist, and an indicative treatment cost before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Orthodontist Review I had an outstanding experience with my son’s orthodontist! From the very first consultation, she made us feel comfortable and informed me and my son about every step of the process and what to expect. The office is clean, modern, and well-organized, and the entire staff is friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. My son’s treatment plan was explained clearly, and throughout the entire process, Dr Soh was attentive, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to answer questions and made our visit stress-free. If you’re looking for an orthodontist who combines expertise, professionalism, and true compassion for their patients, I highly recommend Specialized Dental Group at Mt Elizabeth Orchard. Truly a 5-star experience from start to finish!
I had an amazing experience at Specialist Dental Group. I was really nervous about getting my tooth extracted, but Dr Ansgar Cheng and the team made the whole process so smooth and stress-free. Dr Ansgar took the time to explain everything clearly, which really put me at ease. The extraction itself was quick and almost painless— I was surprised at how comfortable I felt throughout. The clinic is very clean, well-organized, which gave me extra confidence in their care. After the procedure, they also provided clear aftercare instructions and even followed up to check on my recovery, which I really appreciated. If you’re looking for a professional, caring, and skilled dentist, I highly recommend Dr Ansgar Cheng and the team at Specialist Dental Group - Heng ks
Dr. Tan Kian Meng is an excellent dentist who truly prioritizes tooth preservation. He was very skillful and most importantly, generous. I had a metal post and crown done, and he even arranged for me to visit the lab to match the exact shade, a thoughtful touch that shows his attention to detail. He also takes time to explain how to care for my teeth. Life changing experience.
I had my dental root canal treatment under Dr. Sim. She is very professional and skillful. She explained to me on what she was doing throughout the procedure . I was very comfortable and had a short nap during the procedure . The clinic staff is very friendly and always keeps me informed on the waiting time . Thank you Dr Sim for treating my teeth with care, greatly appreciated! I highly recommend it to those are looking for one -stop service , and phobia of pain.
First saw Dr Ho in 2010 for teeth implant + bone grafting and I was grateful for his skilful expertise as my situation was complicated and was told I couldn’t even do implants by other dentists prior visiting Dr Ho. More than a decade later, my implants are still doing very well! 🙏🏻 Routine dental cleaning here is not cheap but it’s a price I’d gladly pay for trustworthy and reliable dental advice and treatments.

Private specialist dental consultations in Singapore typically run S$120–250 for a first visit and S$80–180 for follow-ups. Common add-ons include dental X-rays (periapical or panoramic, S$30–150), fluoride treatments, fissure sealants, fillings, and extractions — each billed separately from the consultation. Treatment under sedation or general anaesthesia carries significantly higher costs and is typically performed at a hospital, where the full procedure cost should be quoted in writing in advance. Most Integrated Shield Plans provide limited or no coverage for outpatient dental consultations; dental surgery requiring hospitalisation or general anaesthesia may be claimable depending on your policy terms — confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer before scheduling. MediSave is generally not available for outpatient dental. Request a written financial estimate itemising all expected charges before agreeing to treatment. Every legitimate dental clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising dentist must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC); specialist dentists in paediatric dentistry hold an additional specialist accreditation on the SDC specialist register, which is searchable at sdc.gov.sg. No licence information has been provided to KakiList for Specialist Dental Group at this time. Prospective patients should visit the MOH licensee directory and the SDC public register to confirm both the clinic's licence and the named treating specialist's registration and paediatric accreditation before booking. Neither confirmation alone is sufficient — both should be checked. For surgical or sedation procedures, ask whether the treating specialist holds a relevant fellowship credential and confirm which hospital or facility the procedure would be performed at.
MediSave cannot generally be used for outpatient dental consultations or routine procedures. Dental surgery performed under general anaesthesia in a hospital setting may allow limited MediSave claims under the surgical benefits schedule — confirm with the clinic's patient services team and your insurer before scheduling. Integrated Shield Plans differ significantly in their dental coverage. Most exclude routine and specialist outpatient dental, but may cover hospitalisation costs for dental surgery requiring a GA admission, subject to deductible, co-insurance, and pre-authorisation requirements. Contact your IP insurer directly to confirm your specific policy terms and obtain a Letter of Guarantee before any planned hospitalised procedure. For any planned treatment, request a written financial counselling estimate from Specialist Dental Group that separates the consultation fee, investigation costs, procedure fees, facility fees (if hospitalisation is involved), and your expected out-of-pocket portion. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
