About Spice Village Catering

About Spice Village Catering

Spice Village Catering is an islandwide event catering provider based in Bedok North, offering per-pax buffet and catering services across Singapore. The listing is KakiList verified, though no ACRA registration has been confirmed and no regulatory licences are on file. The Google rating stands at 3.7 out of 5 across 35 reviews — a moderate sample size, though the below-average score warrants careful review of recent feedback before booking.

When enquiring, share your event date, venue address, expected headcount, and the format you have in mind — standard buffet, mini-buffet, bento delivery, or live station. Confirm the minimum pax order, the dietary mix your guest list requires (halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, no-beef, gluten-free), and whether Spice Village holds a current MUIS halal certificate if Muslim guests are attending. Ask about menu tasting availability before committing to the full order, and clarify the delivery and setup window, equipment provision (chafing dishes, warmers, serving tongs), whether a buffet attendant is included or billed separately, and the food-safety hold time for hot dishes.

To take the next step, contact Spice Village Catering by phone or through the enquiry form with your event date, venue, headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quotation covering the per-pax rate, minimum order, delivery fee, equipment charges, and balance payment schedule before confirming the booking.

Ordered for 2nd day of CNY. Staff arrived 10mins before schedule. Portions are good for 20pax as per ordered. Steamed chicken with ham was actually herbal chicken with real herbs in it. Garlic prawns were so big and fresh as well! Mackerel otah was also a crowd’s favourite. Thank you spice village catering!

Food was delivered on time and food was delicious ! Food tasted a lot better than Stamford catering ! Really shocked that this catering company has poor reviews . Mutton rendang was good , otah fantastic , fried laksa also good, sambal belado brinjal was super good, black pepper baked chicken was boneless and soft and tasty ! Kids really enjoyed this chicken dish ! Even the rainbow kueh is very good . Sweet and sour fish was also good . The only bad thing was the tempura fried prawn . Turned up soggy but it’s expected as it’s prepared at least an hour before . Will definitely get this catering company next Raya ! FYI this catering company was also my wedding food caterer 7 years back ! Food standard was also very good back then !

Ordered buffer catering for an event. Food quality is average. Cereal fish very dry. Garlic prawns unshelled and undercooked. We had specifically mentioned no meat no eggs in veg fried rice, but there were eggs in it. A few vegetarian people couldn’t have it. Delivery and pick up was on time. Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

Brought 30pcs of otah. Standard drop so badly compared to last time the otah now taste so bad. Will not ever come again. The hygiene of the place also doesn’t seem to look like what a food standard hygiene should be. Better think twice before going down or ordering from them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Spice Village Catering charge per pax?

Per-pax pricing depends on the format and menu tier. Singapore market norms run approximately S$15–25 per pax for a standard buffet (minimum around 30–50 pax), S$25–40 per pax for a premium buffet, S$18–30 per pax for mini-buffets (minimum 8–15 pax), and S$8–18 per pax for bento delivery. Live-station formats typically run S$30–60 per pax. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm what is included: delivery and setup to your venue, equipment such as chafing dishes, warmers, and serving tongs (sometimes included, sometimes billed separately), and whether a buffet attendant is on-site or charged at an additional S$80–150 per attendant. Also clarify the delivery fee for addresses outside the central region, waste collection, and whether GST and any service charge apply to the final invoice. What dietary options and halal certification does Spice Village Catering offer?

No regulatory licences are currently listed for Spice Village Catering, which means halal certification status cannot be confirmed from the available listing data. If your guest list includes Muslim attendees who require certified halal food, you should ask Spice Village directly for their current MUIS certificate number and validity dates before booking. 'No pork no lard' menus without a MUIS certificate are not the same as certified halal. Also confirm vegetarian options (lacto-ovo versus vegan), no-beef selections for Hindu guests, and any gluten-free or nut-free requirements your event may involve. For mixed dietary events, ask about cross-contamination protocols between halal and non-halal preparation areas, and whether a menu tasting session is available for orders above the minimum — most caterers accommodate this for larger bookings. Put all dietary confirmations and the corresponding menu items in writing before paying any deposit.

Is Spice Village Catering licensed and how is food safety handled?

Legitimate caterers hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D. No SFA licence is currently on file for Spice Village Catering in this listing, so you should request the licence number and hygiene grade directly and verify it on the SFA online directory before committing. Halal-certified caterers additionally hold a MUIS certificate, which should be visible on the company's website or available on request. For food safety, hot dishes should be served within a roughly 2–3 hour cooked-to-served window, held above 60°C, while cold items are held below 5°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm the setup arrival time relative to your event start, the replenishment schedule during the buffet, and the protocol for safe handling of leftovers. The Google rating of 3.7 out of 5 across 35 reviews is a moderate sample — read recent reviews carefully and confirm the SFA licence (and MUIS certificate if relevant), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery window, and balance schedule in writing.
