About St Joseph's Home

About St Joseph's Home

St Joseph's Home is an eldercare provider offering home nursing services across Singapore, listed on KakiList with verified operating details. The service carries a 4.1-out-of-5 rating from 24 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, and families should contact the provider directly to confirm AIC or MOH registration status before proceeding.

When exploring home nursing for an elderly family member, the first step is a care assessment to understand the individual's medical and mobility needs — whether that involves wound care, catheter management, post-hospitalisation support, or medication administration. Families should clarify whether the service is visit-based or capable of longer daily attendances, and confirm the clinical qualifications of the nurses deployed. It is important to establish who the decision-makers in the household are, what hours of coverage are required, and whether the arrangement can scale up if the care recipient's condition changes over time.

Contact St Joseph's Home directly by phone or via the enquiry form to request a care assessment, discuss the specific nursing needs involved, and obtain a written care plan and rate schedule before committing.

A wonderful, warm and loving place. We visit there. It never is easy looking after the elderly and dying. Their relatives can make it harder with their own needs. Nonetheless, the love and patience of the nurses and caregivers is always observed in spite of the difficulty of the elderly and often, their relatives as well. Love the whole concept of the inter generational. One of its kind and very special.

Poor service and staff are unhelpful. They just good at follow protocol blindly, have little care about their residents' well-being and dignity. Encounter staff at the home who lacks empathy and unable to explain issues properly. All they can say is "this is our protocol"! What kind of nursing home is that? Are residents being treated like prisoners?

Went there with one other to see someone. Raining that day. First time there. Don't know anyone except myself and the person I am with. The place is quite nice. There was church in the compound with a big building to house old people. It have cery nice architecture. It have a canteen with what lots like a italy street cafe. Free water and drinks like coffe and tea for me. Have lifts at there. Saw some old church sister nuns in there riding on automated wheelchairs smiling at me. Place recently renovated. Place looks really clean. Have a good system there. Have a abandoned boys home or something beside the compound.

Did not provide drip for my dying grandma, nor did we observe any drip present. She suffered greatly before she passed. Find a better hospice or care home for your dying loved ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does St Joseph's Home charge?

Home nursing is typically priced on an hourly or per-visit basis in Singapore, with rates generally starting from around S$20–35 per hour for basic nursing visits and rising depending on the clinical complexity involved. Live-in or extended-care arrangements carry a different pricing structure altogether. Confirm with St Joseph's Home whether the quoted rate covers nursing assessment, clinical procedures, and travel, or whether these are billed separately. Public holiday and weekend surcharges are common across the sector. Ask for a written breakdown before agreeing to any arrangement. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does St Joseph's Home offer?

St Joseph's Home is listed under home nursing, which typically operates on a visit or sessional basis rather than a live-in arrangement. Visits are usually scheduled around clinical tasks — wound dressing changes, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, or post-discharge rehabilitation support. If the care recipient requires round-the-clock attendance, families may need to explore whether St Joseph's Home can coordinate with other services or refer to a live-in caregiver arrangement. Confirm the minimum visit duration, the frequency of visits possible per week, and the protocol if the assigned nurse is unavailable. A trial period of one to two weeks is reasonable to request so that the family can assess fit before committing to an ongoing schedule.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

For home nursing services, the key credential to request is registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) under the Allied Health Professions Act — this confirms that the nurse deploying to your home holds a valid practising certificate. Providers registered with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or under a MOH-accredited scheme meet an additional layer of quality oversight. No regulatory licences are currently listed on St Joseph's Home's KakiList profile. Families should ask directly whether the service is AIC-registered and whether professional indemnity or public liability insurance covers nursing staff during home visits. Confirm also what the escalation process is if a clinical concern arises between scheduled visits.
