About The Children's ENT Centre

About The Children's ENT Centre

The Children's ENT Centre is a paediatric ear, nose, and throat specialist clinic located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, serving patients across Singapore. It carries a 4.2/5 rating across 25 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licence details are currently listed on this profile, so families should independently verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the attending doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration before booking.

A first consultation at a private paediatric ENT specialist typically runs S$120–250, with additional investigations such as audiometry, nasoendoscopy, or imaging billed separately. Parents can contact the clinic by phone or via the online enquiry form to describe the presenting condition — whether that is recurrent ear infections, glue ear and suspected hearing loss, enlarged tonsils or adenoids, snoring and sleep apnoea, sinusitis, or a throat or voice concern — and to confirm appointment availability and estimated costs. For families with an Integrated Shield Plan, it is worth checking pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer before attending, particularly if a day-surgery procedure such as grommet insertion, tonsillectomy, or adenoidectomy may be recommended following assessment. A written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions should be requested before agreeing to any procedure. MediSave 500 or 700 outpatient withdrawal limits may apply to selected consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme where a listed chronic condition is relevant.

To make an appointment, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry through the contact form on its website, stating the child's age, the primary symptom, and any referral letter from a GP or polyclinic if available.

Dr. Low Mei Yi is very gentle and friendly with my son. Uncle Derek, the audiologist, is very friendly as well. That made Caleb's first ear test went well without drama. The nurses are kind too. Toys and books are available for little kids to play around while waiting for their turn to be attended to. Overall experience is great 👍🏻

Dr. Ng Yuk Hui is a very caring doctor. We initially sought him out for sleep study for our son who has sleep apnea but after showing us through an endoscope the condition of our son, we eventually decided to go for surgery. He is very thorough in explaining the benefits and risks associated with the surgery. He didn’t push but rather explained how the surgery will be done. His nurse was very helpful and responsive both before and after the surgery. Surgery went well and our son never cried during and after the surgery. Now, our son is sleeping very well and already gained more than 1 kg within 1 month after surgery.

Have been seeing Dr Dawn Teo for years, she has always impressed me as she is very gentle and patient. Recently saw Dr Ng Yuk Hui who is equally as skilled and professional, and patient in his explanations.

Grateful to Dr Dawn for her patience, expertise and exceptional care. All thanks to Dr Dawn for being so calm and reassuring when my kids had to go through procedures, we were all definitely more at ease.

Dr Dawn is fantastic - friendly, competent and caring. She managed to do a scope for my son when he was 1 year 4 months without any tears or drama. She also told us what to expect down the road which was very helpful - today I bought my son to see her again at 2y6m and she is confident we will be able to settle his chronic rhinitis. Her clinic has lots of fun toys too (wooden castle and train tracks. Last visit was toy cake mixer and coffee machine) - my son didn't want to leave her clinic. Highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does The Children's ENT Centre charge?

A first private specialist consultation at The Children's ENT Centre is typically in the S$120–250 range, with follow-up visits around S$80–180. These figures reflect standard private paediatric ENT rates in Singapore and should be confirmed with the clinic directly before attending. Investigations and procedures are billed on top of the consultation fee. Common add-ons include audiometry or tympanometry (S$80–200), flexible nasoendoscopy, blood tests, or imaging such as X-ray or CT scan (S$80–1,800 depending on modality). Day surgeries — grommet insertion, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy — typically run S$3,000–12,000+ at a private hospital depending on the procedure and ward class. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises what your Integrated Shield Plan will cover, what MediSave can be used for, and the remaining out-of-pocket portion. GST applies on private medical services. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →

Is The Children's ENT Centre MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licence details are currently listed on this KakiList profile, so independent verification is essential before booking. Every legitimate private specialist clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — you can confirm this on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must also be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the attending doctor's name to confirm active registration, specialist accreditation in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), and any disciplinary history. For surgical ENT procedures, a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons or the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Singapore (FRCS or FAMS in Otorhinolaryngology) is the meaningful additional credential to look for beyond basic SMC registration. The clinic is based at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, which itself is a licensed private hospital — but that does not substitute for verifying the individual clinic's licence and the named specialist's SMC entry. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at The Children's ENT Centre?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Before any planned ENT procedure — such as grommet insertion, tonsillectomy, or adenoidectomy — confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer and request a Letter of Guarantee so that the insurer's payout is agreed in writing before the procedure, avoiding bill disputes afterwards. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient expenditure under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits (S$500 per year generally, S$700 per year for Chronic Disease Management Programme-listed conditions). For paediatric ENT, day-surgery procedures at a private hospital can draw on MediSave for the surgical, anaesthesia, and hospitalisation components subject to the relevant withdrawal limits and MediShield Life claim caps. The clinic or hospital's billing team should provide an itemised pre-treatment estimate splitting the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and cash out-of-pocket portions in writing — request this at the pre-operative financial counselling session before signing consent for any procedure.
