Families looking to enrol should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the student is following the MOE curriculum, IGCSE, IB, or another framework. It is worth asking whether classes run in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects both pace and cost. Confirm the term commitment expected, whether a trial class is available before signing up, and whether sessions are conducted in person at the East Coast Road centre or offered online.
To get started, reach out to The Humanities Clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on their listing. Come prepared with your child's current level, subject, and any upcoming examination dates so the team can recommend the most suitable class format and schedule.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Ms Teo for her dedication and guidance in helping my son achieve As in both H2 History and General Paper in the A-Level exams. Ms Teo teaches him to think critically, structure his arguments and write with clarity and precision. Her materials are up-to-date and well-curated. More importantly, she is very attentive to student’s progress. She ensures they keep pace with school, identifies areas for improvement early and prepares them thoroughly for tests and examinations. For General Paper, Ms Teo’s lessons were equally impactful. Her lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on building both content knowledge and writing skills. There is very regular practice on Paper 1 essays and Paper 2 comprehension. This consistency helped my son improve steadily over time. Despite her busy schedule, Ms. Teo is always responsive to students’ questions and is willing to go the extra mile, especially in the lead-up to major exams. She creates a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help. I am deeply thankful for the impact she has had on my son’s learning journey. I would highly recommend Ms Teo to any student looking to excel in H2 History and General Paper.
Miss Teo was truly a lifesaver during my A-Level journey. She guided me clearly through the new History syllabus, breaking down complex topics and exam requirements in a way that was easy to understand and apply. Her notes were extremely high quality — concise, well-structured, and tailored exactly to what examiners look out for. The model answers she provided were especially helpful in showing me how to structure my essays and develop strong evaluation. Most importantly, she helped turn a very lost and uncertain student into someone who eventually attained an A. I’m genuinely grateful for her patience, clarity, and dedication. I would highly recommend her if you are looking to improve your History grades.
I have been with The Humanities Clinic since sec 3 when I started having social studies and Geography classes with them. Now that I’ve graduated JC, and having had attended GP lessons by Ms Teo, I really recommend their classes. Ms Teo is extremely knowledgeable in current affairs and her GP lessons are always so informative and fun. Ms Tan actually taught me geo and Econs for a period of time and I also really enjoyed her lessons. If I were taking more Arts subjects, I’ll definitely join their other classes:))
The tutors here are super knowledgeable, patient and kind, and they definitely go the extra mile to ensure that you are well prepared for your exams!! They not only improved my understanding of the material, but also built my exam confidence. My grades saw a sharp improvement after seeing Ms Tan for H2 Econs and Ms Teo for GP :))
Janice is taught by 2 dedicated teachers - Ms Teo (English) & Ms Tan (History, Social Studies & Geography). Under their effective coaching and using concise easy-to-understand notes, Janice managed an A1 for English, Combined Humanities and Pure Geography respectively. Ms Teo and Ms Tan have been a strong pillar of support to Janice during the O-Levels examinations period by constantly encouraging her and even provided her complimentary extra lesson time. I absolutely recommend The Humanities Clinic to all parents if their children need that extra boost of confidence to score better in their studies!

Tuition centres in Singapore typically price sessions on a per-session basis, a monthly package, or a termly fee — and The Humanities Clinic's listing indicates a mid-range ($$) price point, though exact session rates are not publicly stated. It is advisable to ask whether a trial class is offered, what that costs, and whether materials or workbooks are charged separately. Sibling discounts or multi-subject package rates may also be available — worth confirming directly. See the full Tuition Centres cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres offer a trial class — sometimes complimentary, sometimes charged at the standard session rate — so that students and parents can assess whether the teaching style and pace are a good fit before signing up for a term. When attending a trial, pay attention to whether the level of material matches your child's current standing, how the tutor handles questions, and whether your child is engaged throughout. These are stronger indicators of long-term fit than first impressions alone. Contact The Humanities Clinic directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about their trial class policy and availability.
Tutor qualifications at The Humanities Clinic are not listed in the publicly available information for this listing. For a humanities-focused centre, relevant credentials to ask about include a relevant degree in subjects such as Literature, History, Geography, or English; NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience; and familiarity with the specific syllabus your child is sitting — whether that is O-Level, A-Level, IB, or IGCSE. It is reasonable to ask the centre directly about the lead tutor's background and how many years they have taught the relevant syllabus. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
