About Thomson Paediatric Centre Main
Thomson Paediatric Centre Main is a paediatric clinic located at Thomson Medical Centre, 339 Thomson Rd, serving families across Singapore. The clinic holds a 4.3/5 rating across 168 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides a meaningful indication of patient experience. No regulatory licences are currently listed in the provider's profile, and ACRA registration is not confirmed; parents should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting paediatrician's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.
For a first visit, parents typically present via direct walk-in or by appointment, with the consultation covering the child's presenting condition, developmental milestones, and — where applicable — progress against the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule. The paediatrician may order investigations such as blood panels, urine tests, or chest X-rays depending on the clinical picture, and will issue a treatment plan, prescription if needed, and a follow-up schedule. Families using an Integrated Shield Plan (IP) should confirm pre-authorisation requirements with their insurer for planned procedures or specialist referrals; MediSave 500 outpatient withdrawal limits and the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) may apply for eligible chronic conditions. For day-surgery or specialist referral needs, the clinic's location within Thomson Medical Centre provides access to the broader hospital network.
To book a consultation, contact Thomson Paediatric Centre Main directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, and ask the clinic to confirm the consulting paediatrician's name, SMC registration number, and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Not sure about the doctors but the nurses were not polite and helpful. No empathy to parents wanting to come see the doctor. Once they heard we went to the clinic at Level 3 once. They kept pushing us back to that clinic despite us telling them they have 20 kids infront of us. We were willing to pay and do first time registrations with them as they said they only have 3 kids Infront. However they insisted that if there are 20 walk-ins appointments after we are registered then we will be pushed back all the way unlimited times. All this while, their tone was proud and no empathy or compassion shown. Will not return to this clinic again.
Registered and gave receptionist my membership card but was told not needed because they have it in their system. Waited 40mins to see Dr Eugene Han despite making an appointment. He explains thoroughly and doesn’t rush through consultation. Paid and left the clinic only to realize no discount was given despite membership being noted. Tried to call the clinic as I forgot to ask Dr Han whether I should continue to give my baby Abrilar cough syrup because nothing about cough syrup was mentioned by him. But I called 21 times from 3:50 to 5pm (clinic closing time), and nobody picks up the phone. How is there 2 staff sitting at the reception and 1 nurse with an empty clinic but nobody bothers to answer the phone. Disappointing and now I don’t even know if I should feed my baby cough syrup today, have to wait for tomorrow and pray they bother to answer my call.
The idea of being a new parent to a newborn can be daunting and unfamiliar. But the entire team at Thomson from the Nurses to our Delivery Doctor Dr Claudine to our paediatrician Dr Tan made the entire experience - safe, easy and assuring. Can’t thank everyone enough for assisting us in this huge milestone!
Dr Tan has been great, very patient and takes time to explain everything clearly. The staffs are kind, helpful and make every visit easier. Great experience overall.
The team at thomson paediatric centre is amazing and awesome. They consist of Ms Gaya, Ms Yen, Ms G, Ms Poh Ling and Ms Kwee Hong. From start to finish, the team handled everything excellently and without any hiccups. Last but not least, Dr Eugene Han is super awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First consultations at private paediatric clinics in Singapore typically run S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. As a private specialist setting, GST applies on consultations and procedures. Common add-ons to budget for include vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the jab), blood panels (S$60–200), urine or swab tests, and chest X-rays (S$80–150). Developmental assessments and allergy panels carry additional fees. For any planned procedure or day surgery, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that clearly splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. MediSave 500 outpatient withdrawal limits and CDMP coverage for eligible chronic conditions may reduce your out-of-pocket cost. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. However, no licences are currently listed in this provider's profile, so parents should contact the clinic directly to confirm the MOH clinic licence number before booking. Every practising paediatrician must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the named doctor's full name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. For paediatricians with subspecialty training (neonatology, paediatric cardiology, developmental paediatrics), a fellowship from the Royal College or the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) is the meaningful additional credential to look for. Confirm both the clinic licence and the doctor's SMC entry before attending.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations and planned procedures subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For planned procedures or day surgery at Thomson Medical Centre, confirm pre-authorisation and request a Letter of Guarantee from your IP insurer beforehand to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 outpatient withdrawal limits, and under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions such as asthma, eczema, and certain chronic childhood conditions at approved CDMP clinics. For paediatric vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP), Medisave 400 can be used at accredited providers. Ask the clinic which of these apply to your child's care, and request a written itemised financial estimate for any procedure before committing.
