About TP Dental Surgeons
TP Dental Surgeons is a dental practice located at Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road, offering paediatric dental services in a central Singapore setting. The practice holds a 4.8-star rating across 490 Google reviews, which represents a robust sample and provides meaningful confidence in service consistency. No regulatory licences or ACRA registration details are currently listed on this profile, so prospective patients are encouraged to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the treating dentists' Singapore Dental Council (SDC) registration directly before booking.
For a first paediatric dental appointment, parents typically contact the clinic by phone or via the enquiry form to describe the child's age, dental concern (routine check-up, cavity, trauma, or orthodontic concern), and preferred appointment window. Paediatric dental consultations usually cover clinical examination, dental X-rays where clinically indicated, preventive treatments such as fluoride application and fissure sealants, restorations, and behaviour-management techniques suited to children and adolescents. For anxious children, ask whether the practice offers tell-show-do protocols, nitrous oxide sedation, or referral pathways for cases requiring general anaesthesia. Fees at private dental clinics are generally payable at point of service; confirm which MediSave-approved procedures are claimable (selected surgical extractions and orthodontic treatment for Singaporeans with specific clinical criteria) and whether the clinic accepts Integrated Shield Plan riders for any inpatient or day-surgery components.
Contact TP Dental Surgeons by phone or through the online enquiry form to confirm current appointment availability, the consulting dentist's qualifications, and a fee estimate before attending.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Dental Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
We see Dr Gan, our Holistic Dentist. Her approach to NOT just drill and fill is one thing we really appreciate especially for little children who have constantly growing oral needs. We have been seeing her since 2020 and would recommend anyone who appreciates the less invasive approach, to seek a consult with her to see if she's someone you'd like to see. She is patient and very calm with my children and very assuring every step even through the painful moments. My children were acknowledged of their pains being real and not just told "its not painful" and continued fwd. As painful to watch your child cry, Dr Gan was very assuring and encouraging throughout with my 7yr old's extraction (Dec 2025) and was very skilled at removing one with a curved root. Prior to finding Dr Gan, We initially we referred to a PD dentist back in 2019 and regretted so much as all they did was recommend a BOMB (Minimum $5k+ to fix) and expect you to decide on the spot and agree without much open discussion after the consult. Felt the pressure stating how if we didn't do it it would be detrimental repercussions. My daughter was 4 back then and had a decayed tooth and we had only plans to fix that only that 1 badly decayed tooth, but ended up being told we needed to fix 5 baby teeth (which had minor early decays (according to her) with 1 extraction under GA and to fit in a spacer for that gap. So, finding Dr Gan at Tp Dental was such a relief as she had a totally different approach to supporting the body holistically through nutrition and other alternative treatments and not only focussing on the oral issues. She would suggest options and seek to understand our needs and the child's before proceeding with anything that we weren't comfortable with and if she felt we really needed it, wed trust her on it. In our case, was to do preventive over invasive and time given to the child to mentally prepare if it were to be more than a simple filling or cleaning. Decided to share only now only, apart from the excellent service and knowledge of Dr Gan, I was very touched by the dental assistants there at the dentist during our visit 28 Jan 2026. We had to always get afternoon slots after the kids school and my youngest who started P1 had to follow her elder sister to get her tooth looked at. She was so tired she fell asleep on the sofa. Initially, I was worried it would aesthetically/physically disturb other patients or the image of the dental environment, but I had to be with my other daughter in the room so, I had left her with my thin shawl to keep warm. Of course I am not encouraging sleeping there(haha), but when I came out to check on her, I saw a thicker blanket put over her to keep her warmer while she napped. I am deeply grateful for whoever (likely the dental assistants) did so as it made us feel so well cared for. Their understanding of a child's sleep needs over waking them for image consciousness reasons is what touched me so much to write this review. Alot of times, we are told(elswhere) we cant do this here etc but this was heartwarming to observe. The genuine care shown to the patients and their family members needs, really make the pockets feel abit lighter. hahah.. Definitely recommend TP Dental for treatments. Cost wise, to us, isn't the cheapest but holistic dentists are not easy to find in SG, hence we find it balanced out with the superb service beyond the usual at any other dental clinics. Comfortable and Blessed.
The best and most reliable place for Dentistry and Ortho. Latest equipment. Ortho - Dr Hwang. She is the Mercedes of Ortho Drs, she is an artist with incredible vision and skill, teaches at the various colleges. Alot of ortho places refer their challenging cases to Dr Hwang. I did Invisalign with her. Dentistry - Dr James and Dr Huang (male). Had a chipped front tooth that has been repaired several times, Dr James took photos with pen camera and explained my status of a few teeth I was needlessly worried about on the monitor. He did a modified repair to improve cohesion and gave great advice. Although there are many good dentists in SG, TP Dental at Ngee Ann is the place to go if you want high quality, reliable dentistry. The dental hygenist Shirley who assistd Dr James was really great too, she is obviously highly experienced and attentive . Dr Huang (male is also highly procient , gentle and thorough. The support staff is great too. They squeezed me an appointment in because I am travelling tomorrow. Worth every dollar. My advice to you,: dont try and save money on Dentistry, your teeth are with you for LIFE. I am grateful I have found a world class dentistry place in SIngapore.
Dr Hwang and the team at TP Dental have my highest praise and deepest gratitude for the extraordinary care they gave our daughter Celeste over the past two years while she wore braces. As a family that travels widely and has experienced many centers of excellence around the world, we were struck from the first consultation by Dr Hwang’s rare combination of technical mastery and genuine warmth. Her attention to detail is precise, her explanations are elegantly clear, and her commitment to outcomes reads like the work of an artist devoted to perfecting a single craft What sets Dr Hwang apart is her contagious energy and the calm confidence she brings to a busy clinic. Even on days when the schedule is full and clients span all ages, she greets every patient with the same gracious focus and steady optimism. Watching Celeste’s smile transform under her care was a lesson in both professionalism and humanity. We trusted her implicitly because she treats each case not as a procedure but as a personal promise Beyond the clinic, Dr Hwang’s curiosity about the world and her love of photography give her a rare cultural sensitivity that enriches patient care. Her travel stories and bird photography are not mere hobbies but evidence of an enquiring eye and a heart that finds beauty in detail. That sensibility shows up in her work and in the comforting environment she creates for families seeking the very best If you are seeking an orthodontist who combines exceptional skill with boundless dedication and an artist’s sensibility, TP Dental and Dr Hwang are simply unrivaled. We are profoundly grateful to her for giving Celeste a confident, lasting smile and for the kindness she showed our family every step of the way. As Colossians 3:23 reminds us, excellence done with wholehearted care honors something greater than ourselves. We are definitely gonna miss our regular visits to see her 🙏
Dr Hwang is very attentive and warm, she is very experienced and knowledgeable, totally putting me at ease and trusting her in my Invisalign journey. The results were amazing and my teeth were aligned in 16 weeks 😊 It was pleasant and comfortable when the retainer journey started, I am very very happy - all in time for CNY! 🤩
My 3 sons and I completed our orthodontic treatment with Dr Hwang Yee Cheau. Dr Hwang is very skilful and able to make the whole process almost painless. We truly appreciate it. I would definitely recommend her as your orthodontist. The nurses and assistants in her clinic are very patient, friendly and helpful. I very much appreciate the ease of rescheduling appointments. Location of the clinic, being at the top level of Ngee Ann City, is an added convenience, considering the multiple visits during the course of the treatment. Thank you, Dr Hwang and team. Well done! Thumbs up 👍🏻

Private dental consultation fees in Singapore typically run S$60–120 for a first visit, with subsequent reviews at S$50–90. Common paediatric add-ons include dental X-rays (S$30–80 per film or OPG S$80–150), fluoride application (S$30–60), fissure sealants (S$50–100 per tooth), tooth-coloured fillings (S$80–250 per tooth), and extractions (S$80–250 for straightforward, higher for surgical). Orthodontic treatment for children and teens varies widely by appliance type (S$3,500–8,000+ for fixed braces, S$4,000–10,000+ for clear aligners). GST applies on private dental services. For any planned procedure, request a written cost estimate that splits the full fee, any applicable MediSave deduction (selected surgical extractions and orthodontic treatment may qualify under MediSave 500 for eligible Singaporeans — confirm with the clinic), and out-of-pocket cost. Every legitimate dental clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising dentist must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC); search the SDC public register by name to confirm registration status and any specialist accreditation in paediatric dentistry (a recognised dental specialty in Singapore). No licence details are currently listed in this profile, so parents should ask the clinic directly for the MOH licence number and the treating dentist's SDC registration number before booking. A dentist holding an SDC specialist registration in paediatric dentistry has completed additional postgraduate training beyond basic dental registration — this is the meaningful credential for children with complex dental needs, dental anxiety, or special healthcare requirements. Confirm this distinction directly with the clinic.
Most routine private dental care — check-ups, fillings, fluoride, and cleanings — is not MediSave-claimable and must be paid out of pocket at point of service. Exceptions exist for selected surgical procedures: certain surgical extractions (including impacted teeth) may be MediSave-claimable under the S$500 outpatient withdrawal limit for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs. Some Integrated Shield Plan (IP) riders include dental cover for accidental dental injuries — confirm with your insurer whether your policy applies and whether pre-authorisation is required. For any planned procedure of significant cost, request a written fee estimate from the clinic before treatment. Ask specifically which components (if any) are MediSave-eligible, what documentation the clinic can provide for insurance reimbursement claims, and whether payment by instalment is available for higher-cost orthodontic treatment. Skipping the written estimate is the most common cause of bill surprises in private dental care.
