When planning your event, begin by confirming the per-pax rate and minimum headcount — standard buffets in Singapore typically require 30 or more guests. Discuss your dietary mix upfront, including halal, vegetarian, no-pork-no-lard, and any allergen requirements, and ask whether a menu tasting is available before you commit. Clarify what is included in the quoted rate: delivery and setup, chafing dishes and warmers, buffet attendants on-site, and teardown timing. Confirm the delivery and setup window relative to your event start time, and ask about the food-safety hold time for hot dishes, which should ideally be served within two to three hours of cooking.
To get started, reach out to Wok In Box Catering via phone or the enquiry form, share your event date, venue, estimated headcount, and dietary requirements, and request a written quotation that itemises all charges before paying any deposit. Listing data is incomplete — contact Wok In Box Catering directly to confirm details.
Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
I cant believe it is manage by Chef Eric Ang. I sincerely dont think they deserved any star rating. I work in a well establish Medical Centre for years and i have never came across such a lousy caterer. Firstly, menu is always the same. EVERYDAY, we are offered with 2 similar types of meat , which is either braised or curry chicken . Secondly, fish will be with belly part, which basically is all fats with minimal protein left to eat. Thirdly, “fried fillet “ coated with a lot of flour. So, practically just eating the flour.Last, but not least, multiple occasion where chicken feathers was found on the meat itself. Can you imagine how gross it was.Ultimately it wets my appetite. I would appreciate if you could kindly add in more variety of protein to your menu or adding a twist in cooking style.👎🤮
Food is either TOO salty or TOO sweet. i think the the authority should check on the wok people cause the food they served after 5pm are cooked since 9am ,got bad smell and vegetable recook till very soft .Very unhealthy. Can the wok people tell us is it hygienic by wearing the disposable food glove to serve food by even touching on the food for eg they touch the rice they serve and scoop up an fried egg. Some even arrange the food with this glove that they been wearing by scooping on the food. Àlso when they serve soup this glove tend to get in contact with the soup. What u say if i wear this glove to to scoop food for u without using any scoop just my hand with this glove which i had been using to do many "other thing"
Service very slow

Wok In Box Catering is priced in the mid-range band ($$). Singapore market norms for event catering run from roughly S$15–25 per pax for a standard buffet, S$25–40 per pax for a premium spread, and S$18–30 per pax for mini-buffets with a minimum of 8–15 guests. Live-station formats typically run S$30–60 per pax. Beyond the per-pax rate, confirm the minimum headcount, delivery and setup fee for non-central or landed addresses, equipment rental (chafing dishes and warmers are sometimes included and sometimes billed separately), buffet attendant costs if staff are needed on-site, and GST. Before booking, confirm whether Wok In Box Catering holds a MUIS halal certificate — a MUIS-issued certificate with a licence number and validity dates is the only reliable standard for guests who require strict halal. 'Halal-friendly' or 'no pork no lard' without MUIS certification is not the same and will not meet the requirement for all Muslim guests. Also confirm vegetarian options (lacto-ovo versus vegan), no-beef dishes for Hindu guests, and any allergen-free requirements. Ask about cross-contamination protocols if you are serving a mixed dietary group at the same event. Most caterers offer a tasting session for orders above a minimum value — request one before signing any agreement, as menu suitability is difficult to assess from a printed list alone.
No regulatory licences are currently listed for Wok In Box Catering on this directory. A legitimate catering operation should hold an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, then B, C, D — and this should be available on request or visible on the company's own materials. Halal-certified caterers additionally hold a MUIS certificate. You should ask Wok In Box Catering directly to provide both before confirming your booking. For food safety, hot dishes should be served within roughly two to three hours of cooking, held above 60°C, with cold items kept below 5°C per SFA guidelines. Confirm setup arrival time, how buffet replenishment is managed, and the policy for safe handling of leftovers. Confirm the SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence (and MUIS halal certificate where required), book a tasting before paying the deposit, and put the per-pax rate, minimum headcount, dietary mix, delivery and setup window, and balance schedule in writing.
