About Wong Clinic For Children PW Dr Petrina Wong
Wong Clinic For Children, led by Dr Petrina Wong, is a paediatric specialist practice based at Gleneagles Hospital Annexe Block on Napier Road. The clinic holds a 4.6-star rating across 25 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistent patient experience, though prospective patients should weigh it accordingly. No regulatory licence details were supplied in this listing, and ACRA registration could not be confirmed; parents are encouraged to verify credentials directly before booking.
A first paediatric specialist consultation at a private clinic typically runs S$120–250. Dr Wong's practice covers the range of concerns that bring families to a paediatric specialist — developmental milestone reviews, the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, acute illness, respiratory conditions, allergies, and growth monitoring. To prepare for a first visit, bring the child's health booklet, NIP records, any previous specialist letters or investigation results, and your Integrated Shield Plan (IP) card. If your child was referred by a GP or polyclinic, bring the referral letter, as this supports insurance pre-authorisation and may affect MediSave eligibility. For planned follow-up or investigations, the clinic can advise on a written financial counselling estimate that separates insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions.
To enquire or book an appointment, contact the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. Given that this is a single specialist practice at a private hospital, calling ahead to confirm appointment availability and bring your child's health documents on the day will help make the consultation as productive as possible.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
This is easily one of the best pediatric clinics in Singapore. We have been visiting Dr. Petrina Wong since our younger daughter was born, and at 2 years old now, we continue to feel incredibly comfortable and well-cared for here. We recently had a high-stress situation when my daughter’s fever spiked to 40.1°C. The front-of-house staff were incredibly observant; they noticed her condition immediately and sought Dr. Wong’s advice to administer fever medication and tests right away. Their professional and kind handling of the situation brought us immediate relief. Dr. Wong is exceptional. She answered all of our questions thoroughly, which really helped alleviate our anxieties as parents. She also arranged for prompt follow-ups, which allowed us to stay ahead of the infection and monitor her recovery closely. The entire team at the clinic is empathetic and kind. They truly understand how scary these situations can be for parents and children alike. We are so grateful for the high standard of care Dr. Wong and her staff provide.
One of the best pediatric clinics in Singapore. I had taken my 3 year old daughter when she was getting 104°f fever. The staff at the triage noticed that and immediately sought doctor's advise to administer fever medication, the way they handled it was very professional and kind. The doctor ran quick antibody test and diagnosed that it was influenza A. She took plenty of time to answer all our questions to help alleviate our parental anxieties and also arranged for prompt follow ups. This really helped in staying ahead of infection. Everyone at the clinic was kind and empathetic, which helped with an already difficult and scary situation.
Dr Petrina Wong is our favourite PD to date, she’s quick and accurate on her diagnosis and treatment plan. Whenever we visited her many weeks apart, she never failed to remember the “last seen” condition of my child such as his breathing pattern etc. It felt like the dr is with us for the long run. Staff at the clinic are also very kind to everyone. Whenever we had questions we could just asked over whatsapp and will get prompt responses.
Dr Petrina is just wonderful! I am very happy I've been referred to her by another doctor! She is very calm, approachable and so good with kids. She communicated with them really well. My daughter did not mind being checked by her at all, and she also took time answering all questions that I had and took time to explain how to take each medicine. And the clinic is beautiful. With lots of nice toys for kids to play.
We’ve been visiting Dr. Petrina for more than 2 years, and every experience has been fantastic. She is patient, thorough, and great with kids, making each visit comfortable and stress-free. She is meticulous in checking the condition of my child and detailed in explaining the medical plan to us. In addition, the clinic is clean, the staff is friendly, and I always feel like my child is in excellent hands. Highly recommend for any parent looking for a caring pediatrician!

A first private paediatric specialist consultation typically runs S$120–250, with follow-up visits at S$80–180. These figures are Singapore market norms; the clinic's actual fee schedule should be confirmed directly before booking. Common add-ons billed on top of the consultation include vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine), blood panels (S$60–200), urine or stool investigations, X-rays (S$80–150), and referral letters. GST applies on private medical services. If a same-day procedure or investigation is required, ask for an itemised estimate upfront. For planned procedures or day surgery, request a written financial counselling estimate that separately states the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket amount. Skipping this step is the most common cause of billing surprises. See the full paediatric cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate private clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by the doctor's name to confirm active registration, specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine, and any disciplinary history. No licence details were provided in this listing, which means parents should conduct these checks independently before booking. Search for Dr Petrina Wong on the SMC register and cross-reference the clinic's premises licence on the MOH directory. Both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry must be current — neither alone is sufficient. If Dr Wong holds a paediatric subspecialty accreditation (for example, in neonatology, paediatric respiratory medicine, or developmental paediatrics), this will also appear on the SMC register under her specialist accreditation details.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover private specialist consultations, investigations, and hospitalisation subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider structure. Confirm pre-authorisation with your IP insurer before any planned procedure, and request a Letter of Guarantee from the insurer to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers a defined list of chronic conditions including asthma in children. The general outpatient MediSave withdrawal limit is S$500 per year (S$700 under CDMP). Routine consultations and vaccinations outside CDMP are generally not MediSave-claimable on an outpatient basis. For childhood vaccinations under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP), Medisave can be used to pay for nationally recommended vaccines at participating clinics. Confirm with the clinic which vaccines qualify and whether MediFund or other government assistance schemes apply if cost is a concern.
