About Write Edge
Write Edge is a tuition centre operating islandwide from its Punggol Central location, listed on KakiList as both verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5, though this is based on 6 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Fees are positioned at a mid-range price point ($$).
Families typically begin by enquiring about the level and syllabus fit for their child — whether that is the MOE primary, secondary, or junior college curriculum — and whether group or one-to-one tuition is more appropriate. From there, it is worth asking about a trial class to gauge teaching style and whether the pace and content match your child's current ability before committing to a term. Practical details to confirm include session frequency, term fees versus per-session pricing, any materials charges, and whether classes are available in-person at the Punggol Central centre or online.
To take the first step, reach out to Write Edge via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current availability, the subjects and levels offered, and whether a trial class can be arranged.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My son attends a Saturday class from 4 PM to 6 PM, where he has been introduced to a variety of enriching vocabulary through Write Edge. The instructor has equipped him with valuable skills that have positively impacted his grades. His school teachers have also recognised his progress. One day, he came home feeling very pleased, sharing how enjoyable his class was. He has begun to view writing as a pleasurable and rewarding activity, especially after receiving feedback on his improvement, with the teacher highlighting the growth in his latest composition compared to his earlier work. The lessons have introduced him to concepts he had not encountered in school before. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this program!
Signed up for a P1 writing preparatory class which was supposed to be a 2 hour session. Not very impressed overall as (1) there was a 2 session of 10 mins break each, (2) the class ended slightly earlier, (3) it was very noisy as the classrooms are not conducive for learning due to the toddler classes conducted at My Gym, (4) students are seated very close to the white board. Since the teacher has intended to shorten the duration to 1.5hrs, why are we asked to pay for $70 for a full 2hr preparatory lesson? Just because it’s a trial lesson? 2 times of 10 mins break each seems quite long.
Teacher Lynette really helped improve my writing. Her lessons are clear and I understand everything very well. She teaches me a variety of new phrases and explains the meaning. She makes sure we understand everything well before moving on and points out anything we can improve on. I am grateful for her and blessed to have her as my teacher. Thank you Teacher Lynette! :D
“Ms. Lynette has helped me take a big step in improving my writing. She taught me important skills like show not tell and using the five senses to make my compositions more interesting. Because of her guidance, my grades improved from 2/10 to 8/10 in my compositions. One of my most memorable lessons was when she showed us how to describe scenes using vivid details—it made me feel proud and confident in my work. She also gave me small gifts to motivate me, which always encouraged me to keep trying my best. I’m truly thankful for her patience, kindness, and support!” caden sim yu she from sat class 4-6pm
“We are truly thankful to Ms. Lynette for her patience, dedication, and care. She has gone beyond just teaching by guiding our child step by step, showing them how to use skills like show not tell and the five senses to bring their writing to life. With her constant encouragement and even thoughtful gifts to motivate, our child’s confidence grew and their composition grades improved remarkably from 2/10 to 8/10. More importantly, Ms. Lynette has instilled a love for writing and learning that we deeply treasure. We are very grateful to have such an inspiring and supportive teacher in our child’s life.”

Write Edge displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific per-session or monthly fees are not publicly listed. In Singapore, tuition centre fees typically range from S$30 to S$120 per session depending on the subject, level, and group size, with one-to-one sessions commanding a premium over group classes. Beyond the core tuition fee, ask about a trial class fee, any materials or workbook charges, and whether sibling or term-package discounts apply. Some centres charge a registration or administrative fee on enrolment. See the full Tuition Centres cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first session — so you can assess whether the pace, teaching approach, and class size suit your child before signing up for a full term. During a trial, pay attention to whether the content is appropriately pitched to your child's current level, how the tutor manages questions, and whether your child feels engaged rather than lost or bored. It is also a good opportunity to observe class size and how much individual attention each student receives. Contact Write Edge directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask about their trial class policy and any associated cost.
Tutor credentials are not publicly listed for Write Edge at this time. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, whether any have a background in MOE or NIE-trained teaching, and how long they have been teaching the specific syllabus — whether that is the MOE mainstream curriculum, the IGCSE, IB, or another framework. Syllabus alignment matters particularly for examination-focused tuition, so asking for the tutor's familiarity with the current syllabus and mark schemes is reasonable. If the centre has multiple tutors, confirm which tutor will be assigned to your child's class. Raise these questions directly with Write Edge before committing to a term.
