About Mindgrove Events
Mindgrove Events is an event planning company based at 2 Orchard Link, Singapore, operating islandwide. The listing is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4.9-star rating across 29 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistent client satisfaction, though prospective clients should weigh this alongside their own enquiries.
Engaging an event planner typically begins with an enquiry via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form, sharing your event date, venue, headcount, and style brief. From there, expect a scope consultation covering theme, multi-vendor coordination, timeline, and budget allocation. Event planners generally work on a package basis, with a deposit — commonly 30 to 50 per cent — due on signing to lock in the date, and the balance settled one to two weeks before the event. Lead times vary considerably: weddings with popular Saturday slots in March, April, October, and November can require bookings six to twelve months out, while corporate events, birthday parties, and baby celebrations typically need six to twelve weeks. Confirm setup and teardown windows with the venue, wet-weather contingency for any outdoor elements, and whether public liability insurance is in place — particularly relevant for events at HDB void decks or condo function rooms.
To take the next step, reach out to Mindgrove Events via WhatsApp or phone with your event date, venue, approximate headcount, and any theme or style references, and ask for a written package proposal that sets out deliverables, the deposit and balance schedule, and the rescheduling policy.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.

It is amazing how a place that advocates for mental wellness discriminates people based on how they look and refuses entry to them. I am speaking up because this should not be the case. I tried entering this place at least 3 times during off-peak hours and each time I was told I could not use the space when there were so many empty seats. Fine, you said this place is for youths 18 to 35, but how could you refuse entry to me without even checking my NRIC, so you are discriminating people based on how they look? Since this place advocates for mental wellness, it should be a welcoming space for all. The staff should not be refusing entry to people especially during off-peak hours when there are so many empty seats that are not in use. Priority is given to youths, but there should also be KINDNESS & EMPATHY. If 90% of the seats are empty during off-peak hours, you would rather waste electricity, waste taxpayers' money, not be inclusive and affect people's mental wellness? How could this place - initiated by NCSS, hire unkind staff who discriminate, lack empathy and are not inclusive? FYI, I am only 36 years old and is 36 very far off from 35? If you don't have empathy, then don't market yourself as an advocate for mental wellness. NCSS should really look into all their male hires at this place. All the best to all of you when you are past 35, because KARMA WILL DEFINITELY HIT YOU BACK.
Beautiful space with lovely staff! Amazing initiative to have an integrated hub supporting youths in the middle of the city! ❤️

Event planning fees in Singapore vary significantly by scope, event type, and complexity. Full event planning (excluding venue and catering costs) typically runs S$5,000–25,000+, while more focused coordination packages for smaller gatherings — birthday parties, baby full-month or 100-day celebrations — can fall in the S$500–2,500 range depending on what is included. Mindgrove Events operates on a package pricing model, so the quoted fee will depend on the brief you provide. When reviewing any proposal, confirm what is included: planning hours, vendor sourcing and management, on-the-day coordination, number of events covered, and deliverables such as mood boards or timelines. Also clarify the deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing), the balance payment date, travel charges for non-central venues, GST, and whether any third-party vendor costs are billed through the planner or settled separately. Lead time depends heavily on the event type. For weddings, six to twelve months ahead is the practical minimum, especially for popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November, which book out earliest. Full-service planners managing multiple vendors need sufficient runway to negotiate, confirm, and rehearse logistics across photography, florals, catering, and entertainment. For corporate events, birthday parties, and baby celebrations, six to twelve weeks is generally workable, though peak festive periods (December, Chinese New Year, Deepavali) can compress availability across the vendor chain even for the planner. Reach out early with your confirmed or shortlisted venue and event date, as the planner's own calendar — not just the venue's — is the constraint. Confirm whether the booking deposit holds the date exclusively and ask about rescheduling terms should your venue or circumstances change.
The Singapore events industry standard is a 30–50% deposit on signing, which secures the date and typically covers early planning work such as vendor sourcing, design consultations, and timeline development. The balance is usually due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm in writing precisely what the deposit covers, what portion — if any — is refundable on cancellation, and whether the deposit is transferable to a future date. Rescheduling clauses matter as much as cancellation terms. Ask what happens if a venue confirms a force-majeure situation, a public-health restriction, or an unavoidable clash. Reputable planners will set out a clear rescheduling window (commonly within six to twelve months) without forfeiting the deposit. Also ask about public liability insurance — a copy of the certificate may be required by the venue, and it protects all parties if something goes wrong during setup or on the day. Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB or condo venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
