About The Collective Events SG

About The Collective Events SG

The Collective Events SG is an event planning company based at OUE Downtown 1 on Shenton Way, offering services islandwide across Singapore. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. It holds a 3.9/5 rating across 138 Google reviews — a robust sample that suggests a broadly positive but occasionally variable client experience. Package pricing is available on enquiry.

Engaging an event planner typically begins with a conversation about the event date, venue, headcount, and overall style or theme. The Collective Events SG can be reached by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing. Once scope is agreed, most planners work on a package or retainer basis, with a deposit of around 30–50% on signing to hold the date, and the balance due one to two weeks before the event. It is worth confirming exactly which vendors and services are coordinated within the package — catering, décor, A/V, entertainment, photography — and which are sourced separately. Lead times of six to twelve months are standard for weddings and large corporate events; six to twelve weeks is more typical for birthday parties, baby full-month celebrations, and smaller corporate functions. Ask about the wet-weather contingency plan for any outdoor elements and whether public liability insurance is held, as venues such as HDB void decks and condo function rooms may require a copy of the certificate.

Contact The Collective Events SG by phone or via the enquiry form to discuss your event date, venue, and scope, and request a written package proposal before paying any deposit.

The place at Dao by Dorsett lobby. There are plenty of seats during lunch so dont think require any reservation. Food menu has alot of selection and there are set lunch too. The service ordering is via waiter rather than QR code. Sharing food came roughly after 15 minutes and the rest of the food slowly came in. Other than that the drinks have option for free flow of sparkling water or still water at a fix price. Overall is good a quick team lunch and the wagyu beef horfun is really good.

This restaurant is at the 7th floor lobby of Dao by Dorsett Hotel at Shenton Way. They have ala carte and semi buffet dining available for lunch. I ordered the Dao’s Lobster Nasi Lemak, which came with coconut rice, half a grilled lobster, fried chicken cutlet, octopus leg in sambal, sunny side up egg, crackers, ikan billis with peanuts and cucumber slices. Portion was good for a big eater. Rice was flavorful as was the lobster. A decadent dish! Also had the sides of truffle fries and honey maple drumlets, which were good. Washed down the meal with a cup of freshly brewed coffee that came with a pistachio biscuit. Try it!

Tasty Western and Asian food. We ordered smoked duck breast and laksa, both were delicious. Just the restaurant lacked staff in servicing the guests, needa wait a bit longer for taking order and checking the bill.

Nice environment for business lunch meeting. Good service too. Since it's a restaurant in a hotel, would expect a more exceptional taste. Dressing overwhelms the salad, ketchup fighting attention with the already decent fries. Still the chill vibe and service compensates for the food.

First truly disappointing experience dining here. I dine a lot here because of my long term stay. To be fair, food has been great albeit on the pricier end. Staff serves with good attitude. Collective’s recently introduced salad lunch has been disappointing as the vegetables were not fresh - see the pomegranate seed for example. First time trying the executive lunch and the sous vide short rib is very tough with tendon and overcooked, asparagus served as side is unpalatable, contrary to the usual standard. Not sure if it’s because lunch service recently has been crowded and hence the decline in standard. Hopefully my canteen for my stay could retain its standard and improve the freshness of its salad. Available compound salad is often loaded with mayonnaise which is not ideal. (Opted for salad lunch as the dishes served lack fibre in general)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does The Collective Events SG charge?

Event planning packages vary considerably depending on the event type, scope, and number of vendors coordinated. As a general guide in the Singapore market, full event planning fees (excluding venue and catering) typically run S$5,000–25,000+ for weddings and larger corporate events. For smaller functions such as birthday parties or baby full-month celebrations, packages tend to range from S$500–2,500 depending on what is included. When reviewing any proposal, confirm the deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing), the balance payment schedule, what deliverables are included (planning hours, vendor coordination, on-site management), the hours of coverage, and whether travel charges apply for non-central venues. GST should be itemised separately. Contact The Collective Events SG directly for a package quote tailored to your event. See the full event planners cost guide for Singapore →

How far ahead should I book The Collective Events SG?

Lead time depends heavily on the event type. For weddings, six to twelve months is standard — popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November book out earliest, and securing a planner well before confirming the venue is advisable so they can assist with the venue selection itself. For corporate dinners and large private events, three to six months gives adequate planning runway. For birthday parties and baby full-month or 100-day celebrations, six to twelve weeks is typically sufficient, though in-demand specialists can fill up faster during the school holiday calendar. Confirm whether the event date is firmly held once the deposit is paid, and ask about the rescheduling policy should a force-majeure situation require a change of date.

What does the deposit cover and what is the cancellation policy at The Collective Events SG?

The Singapore events industry standard is a 30–50% deposit on signing that secures the date and covers initial planning hours, vendor briefings, and any design or concept work begun before the event. The balance is typically due one to two weeks before the event date. Confirm in writing exactly what the deposit covers and whether any portion is refundable if the event is cancelled. Deposits are generally non-refundable but may be transferable to a future date, subject to availability. Ask specifically about the rescheduling terms if a venue or vendor falls through, or if a public-health restriction forces postponement. For events at HDB void decks, condo function rooms, or hotel venues, ask whether The Collective Events SG holds public liability insurance and whether a certificate can be provided to the venue on request.
